I have an itaste134, the big thing. It's my 1st mod. I have a kayfun 3.1 and the lite plus. Those work well with single coil and cotton but I think I could get more? I also have a trident and the Enigma but the kayfuns out perform the rda's, on the 134. Is it because the 12.5watt cap? I am looking for lung fulls, maybe I should pick up a mech? Please help. Is this really all the 134 has, or do I just need to learn the tricks to it? Can't go below .8 ohms it won't fire. Also makes it hard to run dual coils because they take so long to heat up. Anyone have this thing mastered?

The Kayfun is more of a flavor machine, not so much a fog machine. It's forte is not for sub ohm builds. The iTaste 134 is going to be limited being that it is a regulated mod. It won't fire below 0.8 ohm due to amp limits and wattage output.

If you want to be a cloud chaser, you need to get a safe mech, safe high-amp high-drain batteries, a multimeter, and a rebuildable drip atomizer.

Hi Lucas. These kind of mods are not designed for sub-ohm vaping. It cuts out below 0.8 ohms as a protection. That's actually lower than some other regulated devices. You don't need to go sub-ohm to get lungfuls - but its a preference some people have.
So yes, maybe pick up a mech if you are going below 0.8 ohms - but also get a battery that can handle the drain you put on it. And if you don't have one, get a multimeter.
I like the look of the iTatste 134 myself - for most vapers a 12.5 watt limit is plenty. Many people vape at standard or LR ohms (1.8 ohms and up)and are happy in the 7-10 watts range. Its designed for them.
If you want to go lower you need a mech or a powerful device that can handle it.

12.5 watts does seem low ... I hadn't noticed that before;
my vamo and zmax go up to 15 watts.

Not really a cloud chaser, but more than I'm getting now. I love the kayfun flavor. I'm just saying I can actually pull more vapor from both my kayfuns than the dripper on my 134. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong but it's just the 134. I have a couple rda's already and was getting disappointed, but now realize it's the itaste134. I have all the goods just not a mech I guess.

I think for a dripper, and especially for dual coil anything, that 12.5 watt power limit is a problem.
12 watts should be fine for commercial single coil clearos type toppers, but once you start talking dual coil and worse yet rebuildables with 28 gauge coils, I can see problems.

What is a good mech and battery combo? I'm not really chasing clouds but every now and then I want that extra punch, know what I mean? I wish I would have taken the time to get into these forums before, this is neat. Nobody I know really vapes, just me and my girlfriend quit smoking cigarettes. I understand the dangers and how building works. Definitely interested to hear from someone who knows what's good and bad out there as far as products. Maybe point me in the direction?

I am thinking you mean you want the option for much higher power, like 20 to 50 watts.
