What cause the heating core to die? X9 protank leak???

I got 5 replacement heating core for fasttech and one of them die right out of the box. What is the possible cause here and can it be fixed? (EVOD Electronic Cigarettes Atomizer heating core)

I also got 2 X9 protank and it leaks. Everytime I remove the Ego battery for cleaning I can see some liquid at the bottom of the tank. Is this normal? This could be the cause for my dead Ego battery which I bought a month ago.

Please help.

I don't know about the core dieing so fast, might have been faulty for the get go.

A drop or two of juice in the battery connection is normal on an ego battery. If it's more than about 3 drops worth, check the o ring on the drip tip to be sure it is all the way up and, is not twisted or damaged and, try pulling a bit softer to reduce the seepage.
