Hi! I'm about to be gifted a sigelei 100w Plus. Woo-hoo! This is a substantial upgrade from my original MVP2 that maxes out at 11 watts.

So, I'm excited. I've only taken a few puffs of other peoples' big boxes, and I was impressed by the flavor, warmth, clouds, and so on. In those cases I was using MY rda with MY build in it!

OK, so I can build coils competently enough to make them come out to spec. I can make them hit a certain resistance, a certain number of winds, and so on. I always use Steam Engine's coil calc for all that.

I only have 30 gauge Kanthal A1, and I only use cotton balls for wicks (pulled apart, of course.)

I will be using this dripper:

Big 28.5mm 101 Vape Adjustable Airflow Atomizer - 101 Vape

It's a great dripper. I vaped it at 56 watts with a 30 ga. build at about 2 ohms with cotton and it handled things nicely.

I like flavor, but my wife likes clouds. If I can get this Sig going real good I'll be buying her one. So consider this practice for me to help get my wife off the cigs.

What coils should I build next for the Sig?

Thanks

Based on the limited information supplied... assuming this is a 30ga. parallel dual coil build... at 56 watts, your heat flux is 249 mW/mm2, which apparently, you like.
It's an easy HF to duplicate with a variety of wire gauges, resistances and parallel coil counts... and increase or decrease as you see fit.

Want a better understanding of the term "heat flux", and how to balance your build variables to best advantage, use the available wattage... for both you and your wife? Open Steam Engine... open a second window, split screen and click the second sigline hyperlink below.

Cheers

Ooh Nice! Looking into it right now.

Thanks!

EDIT:

It was only a single 30 gauge regular build.

In that case, you apparently like a flaming hot 997 mW/mm2. This is perhaps (if your data is correct) the highest HF I've seen... that someone actually likes. Hope you have sufficient wicking capillary action... to keep pace with the heat. ;-)
