Hey
Just wondering what some of you guys are building on the Odin. I've been using 28g wire building them at 0.4 or 0.5 ohms with micro coils. I love the way it hits now and it works really good but just want to try different coils on it. I've tried to do a sleeper coil but had no luck, its too hard to do. Tried doing a parallel coil but it came out to be 0.2ohms so didn't want to vape with that. Can some of you experts out there give me some suggestions to building something that will give me a little warmer vape?? Should I try different gauge wire? Please post some pictures if you have them.
Thanks!!!!!

Here are a couple of links for you...
SuperX has a couple of Odin vids. The 2nd one focuses on builds. Subscribe to his channel, he's the man!

This next link shows a few builds from fellow Reonauts...there are a couple of Odin builds in there as I recall.

Best I can do for you until mah Odin arrives in the near future...I can tell you that if you want a hotter vape, try a twisted kanthal wire. 28 gauge works well and at .4-.5 ohms it will be plenty hot.

Steamengine.org Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators tells me that a 28 gauge twisted 5/64 id coil will take about 6 wraps and at +/- 35 watts (a fresh battery) will be Hot, hot, hot like a match under your leg in the middle of August in Texas mah friend...

Ya I've watched all of superx videos on the Odin. Good videos. That's why I ordered one. I think I might give the twisted one a try and see how that works out.
Another question not related to the odin. Does anyone else's REO grand bottom screw for the spring heat up when your vaping?? I've never had that happen before on my mini or vvgrand.

I'm vaping single/dual coils down to .6ohm, but I never experienced a heated up spring screw.
I would unscrew the spring, clean up and apply some Noalox to screw and bottom plate.

I started that post Soignee linked to. That's the coil I've been using since the thread went up. It's simple to do and a drill isn't needed to twist 28g kanthal or 26g kanthal for that matter. I've ran standard dual coils at 2.4mm diameter and I have run dual coils at 2.0mm diameter.

I've never had the problem with the screw getting hot and I vape all day with my Reo and go through 20ml-30ml a day in juice and the only thing that ever got warm was the drip tip.

I've tried several coil builds on my odin and was not quite satisfied. I started to think I wasted my money on it. Then I had an epiphany. I was placing my builds very far out towards the holes. This was actually chocking the coils. Today I built a dual 24 gauge.27 and moved the coils farther in towards the middle. Boom! So much better! Now I see the hype! Thank goodness I was ready to freak out. No atty has caused me this much headaches. I'm glad I pushed through and found the way this atty likes to be built! Mmmm tasty clouds for days! Gonna shoot for A little higher resistance next time to help the battery life.

I use twisted 29g (perfectly twisted using the tesla twister), dual coil, 8 wraps around the second smallest mandrel of the coil jig. Nets .45 ohms. That build in the Odin is the greatest vape I ever thought possible - so far, but I love experimenting around. It heats up pretty quickly, produces fantastic vapor and flavor.
