I chose other because mine are home made, and none was not on the list. I am not paying as much as the mods go for because I can do them myself. I don't mind someone making a little money off of them but the prices are rediculous. Was actually considering a 905 but read about them self destructing and of coarse there is that whole built for a 901 BS where you need adapters to use a decent atty. The 901 may be ok but why make a mod model specific when most folks prefer another one? And then the adapters for 14.00, WTF? It's like having to buy new rims just to change tires.

I've the Prodigy v2 on order, quite looking forward to that.

I also have a vp2. it has not failed me yet when i really need it, though the button only works when really mashed. Good for emergency backup to stock 510 batterys, but not really much to write home about.

I plan on getting a chuck once I figure out what art I want on it ^_^. I'm a bit nervous of the button on the chuck after my experience with vp2. I assume it is user replaceable but have yet to research it. the vp2 is all circuit board and solder and i cant quite get at it.

edit: am intrigued by the GGT but just spent over 300 at puresmoker. need to wait a while before splurging again :D

While there may be one or two ...... who will try and tell you the button on the Chuck is cheap, they are full of crap. The button on the Chuck is perhaps the most reliable and best working button of all. I have yet to hear ANYONE who has had it not work when pressed, ever, even once.

Now if you want to worry about it sticking out, and getting pressed while carrying it in your pocket, that is another matter. That is a valid and reasonable concern. But what you hear from the one or two ...... with issues and agendas is, again, pure crap.

Although I agree with your reasoning, not all of us are mechanically gifted or have the tools and/or facilities to make our own mods. Thus we are stuck with retail. And if you decided to start making copies of what you built yourself, would you not then start charging for your time and materials? If you can make something that works as good as these other mods for, say, half the price, sign me up!

By the way, your avatar has got to be the cutest thing I've ever seen. So full of awwwwww!! *hands out too adorable award*

I think it even beats this pic I have that I thought was too full of cute:
