Skold, if you're talking to me I started with a Kanger mini protank 2 and some pencil batteries. I bought a few bigger Tangers, a Protank and a Mega but they smoked to hot and harsh for me. I've bought some Eleaf Istick 20 and 30W mods and went back to the Mini Protank 2. I'm using 2 outfits at the same time because of heat build up when I only use 1. I have some Eleaf Isticks "in stock" and a couple of Mini Protanks also as back up. I usually refill the small tanks on the 2 Minis twice per day each.

I have a Curve 20w which is exactly the Same as istick 20w, just a different name and an istick Mini 10w. I use nautilus minis on both of them. Although i have high watt mods i still use my Curve an istick.
Handy for on the go too.

Hope your happy with your isticks, they are good for beginners and advanced. Cant really go wrong :)

Cool :) i dont have a mech mod yet, bet its great

It's ok. No circuit board, so less to fiddle with there... but you have to tailor your build to the battery. If you build for 4v you'll notice drop off when your batter hits about 3.8. Build for 3.6v and your .... burns up with a new battery lol

My regulated mods give me a consistent vape from 4.2v-3.6v (plus or minus depending on the mod and the wattage setting)

I love my REO, but usually have a regulated mod on me too ;)

No doubt gear has dropped alot. Yes my first vv mod was a provari and was over 200 for sure, but provari is still expensive compared to alot of other mods. I know they sell the old v2's cheap now, but their newer mods are pricey. The prices have dropped because alot if the devices are now mass produced and most made in China and because there is so much to choose from, obviously cheaper. Also clonage is big which it wasn't then. But although you can definitely find inexpensive stuff now, there is also a big market on high end gear as well which wasn't around back then, I'm actually spending alot more on devices now then I ever spent back then. I'm a sucker for hi end tanks and mods, most of my rta's are in the 150 range and my mods well over 300, but I'm still way ahead because the money I would of spent on cigs is much much more.

High end stuff was around, it always has been, it was just very hard to get and produced in a much smaller scale, sometimes by hand... we had to wait on lists on vw & the pit, f5 on crap websites, etc.

A lot of us were forced to buy high end back then bc it was the only way to get a decent vape. Personally I never fully quit till I got my first line atty on VW & my first mech mod was a GG slim that I got secondhand, don't ask, I'm too ashamed to say what I paid for.

but now that you can buy Chinese atty's that are as good or sometimes better than the high end stuff, it opens 's vaping up to more people, specifically those who don't have the money/time for stalking a $200 robot dingus.

Personally I always found it annoying, now I just think it's silly, but back then there wasn't much of a choice if you wanted a decent vape. Happily paying $450 for a caravela after waiting on a list for 2 years seemed perfectly sane to me at the time.

Your right it has and I shouldn't have said "it wasn't around " but nothing like it is now. I did buy some hi end stuff then, like the v1 penelope and bought a Caravela from the first list, and one of my first gennys was a DID, but now it's crazy. But even back then, I bought those not because I couldn't find a great vape for less, I bought them because I just liked the designs and wanted to support those designs so more could.

A spot on my lung in a chest Xray got me off of tobacco. It was last April. When I walked out of the Drs. office I threw the 1/2 pack of cigarettes that were in my pocket away. That was 9 months ago. I've not considered tobacco since.
I had the upper lobe of my right lung removed in July... cancerous. The 33 lymph nodes they removed from the same area were all negative.
I've been vaping now for those 9 months. Follow up visits to the Oncologist all proved me to be cancer free.
I now find my craving the nicotine in vapor to be just as strong as tobacco. I hope to stop it all some day.
It's awesome that you are cancer free and have made the switch. As long as your not smoking and inhaling those bad chemicals your body is much better off. As for the nic, yes it's addictive but nowhere near as bad for you as all those other chemicals

While at a follow up visit with the lung surgeon he discovered an aneurysm in my aortic artery which he said was aggravated by smoking. Resulting in another surgery in less than 2 months. 60 years of smoking tobacco almost proved fatal.
I hate to be a nagger but when friends light up around me I tell them "those things will kill you"

I don't bother anymore, a bunch of my friends still smoke and I have helped a few of them switch if they ask for help, but for the ones who are determined to keep smoking, it's pointless. They can figure it out on their own when they're ready.

Like my cousin at first, I tried giving him gear, making him plenty of juice so he'd not have to pay etc. but they always come up with some bs excuse like, "this stuff has antifreeze in it", or "I don't like carrying around a giant mod" (which btw is the same size as a pack/lighter).

For him, it was me moving in to help with the mortgage, before I did he promised to only smoke outside, except it got real cold right after that.

Did you get the kit?? Just wondering how the Mello3 tank is that comes with It??
I was not a fan of the Melo tank. I'd use it as a backup but not something I'd reach for out of choice. It's not terrible it's just not great either.
