I'm not sure what I did but.....
I have a vamo topped with a vivi nova and been working fine,I made some juice and it finally was ready....tested in dripped in a atty hit and tasted great....put it in a shorty cart still great vaped on it a few hrs in the shorty I was in heaven I finally got my juice right after a month of trial and error. So I dumped out my vivi cleaned it up patted the wick dry but noticed the wick was loose in the coil? as in it slid back and forth there was a slight burnt mark where it sits but seemed fine. anyway after it dried I filled it up with my juice and its odd seemed like it wasent hitting but after piddlin a bit with it noticed it was I had to hit the fire button for about a second then draw on it and it works and taste normal.
Ive always just hit the fire and draw now I have to hold the fire for a second before I can draw to get it to hit any idea what's up with that or is that just normal sometimes?
also my shorty still is the same fire/draw.....my backup tank (not sure the name but its very simular to the nova just a different size head) is the same with my juice fire/draw.

Basic troubleshooting- try a different battery to narrow the problem down to the nova or the vamo. But if I understand correctly that you are not having the problem with your shorty or back up tank, then it sounds like the nova has a loose/bad connection.

Could be time for a new head (doesn't always matter that it looks clean).
One other idea- I know sometimes with my Vivi's the head isn't always screwed down all the way, causing misfires at times.

just some thoughts!

Try to tighten the head, replace the head, or search YouTube for rebuilding the head. Head can be rebuilt with wick/wire or stainless steel mesh.

x2. Maybe try adjusting the post on the bottom. I sometimes find that rotating it either way a quarter or a half turn helps with making contact. Good luck!
