Getting ready to leave the house this morning .. Picked up my SB [version 1] and it was warm to the touch and getting warmer. Opened it up and dumped out the 2 cr2 batteries that I got yesterday. THEY WERE HOT .. the plastic around the battery actually shrunk ... The plastic on the other one didn't melt ..

After dumping the 2 HOT batteries out I put one .. then another ... of the 3.7v batteries I normally use in my SB but could not vape with either. I was late for work so I didn't have time to try changing the atty to see if maybe it got too hot and that was the problem ..

I took some pictures of the batteries that I was going to post here and brought my camera to work with me but my computer at the office is a HEAP OF ---- and can't read a 4 gig card ..

Any way .. What do you think ?? Maybe nothing until I can check the batteries and the atomizer ... but could the switch have burned up or ???

Sounds to me like either the switch was stuck in an open-relay, delivering constant voltage to the atty, thus heating the batteries and blowing the atty OR one or both of the Li-Ion batteries vented.

I would replace the atty obviously (I'm sure it burnt out), along with fresh batteries and test the switch to make sure everything is working properly.

BUT, there are some experts in this forum that I'm sure will chime in with their opinion on the cause :)

it is unlikely the switch is stuck on, if these switches fail they will fail open. What is the serial number on that one?
