What did you start vaping with?

IMO, when it comes to vaping performance they're all similar. The vamo, Evic. They all do their job nicely. I think its the tank that really changes thing. I dont have a provari, so I can't say anything about that. I also feel a big difference would be if you have a mechanical mod. But as far as the Evic and the vamo and the itaste and mvp, they all work great.
What do you think of its actual vaping performance though?

I'm only asking because this sort of intrigues me.
Did you know a vapor before you started or did you do your homework first?
Did the B&M actually help you find a good setup?

I'm a grandmother, and so I didn't exactly travel in "vaping circles", lol. However, my grown son had a friend who owns a Reo, and I saw him using it about a year ago. It looked really strange to me, and all I knew about it was that it was a huge box, looked funny, and was electronic. He was trying to quit smoking, and using the Reo, too. I didn't really pay much attention to it, because it was so big and looked nothing like a cigarette.

Then right before last Christmas, I started seeing the Blu commercials on TV, and I thought they looked neat, and wondered if they would really work to stop smoking. I bought a Blu starter kit at my local Walgreens Drug and gave it a try. It worked, but barely, and I didn't smoke for a couple of days while I used it. I felt like I spent most of my time frantically charging the batteries, which seemed to last about 30 minutes. Kidding, but they didn't last very long.

So I went online, found this forum, and started reading for hours and hours. I determined that I needed an ego starter kit, and off I went to a local vape shop and bought one. The shop was full of 20-somethings with lots of tattoos and purple hair! They were very nice to this old grandma, and patiently showed me how the ego kit worked, and helped me choose some juice. They got a big kick out of the fact that a grandma wanted to start vaping!

I loved the ego starter kit I got, and felt like I was finding out what vaping was all about. I progressed to Vision Spinners, and now have my wonderful MVP 2, which is just an amazing device!

After smoking heavily for 40 years, I haven't had a cigarette since I first tried out the Blu, and I couldn't be happier. Life is good.:)

I started with an NJoy kit way back in late 08 / early 09 that used cartridges, was back to analogs real quick. I came back about 1 1/2 ago to a ego-v and lavatube and that broke the habit. My daily now is a Vapor Shark DNA 30 with R91% and Itaste VV 3 with carto tank (for the bar) with Nemesis and Itaste VV 3 as backups, and backups for backups for backups of various other devices lol.

My first official E-cig was a Skycig: I loved it. The flavours were great, it had a cool charging case. Ushual cig-a-like flaws yes and a bit too expensive, but I didn't smoke when I had my Sky.

July 27 2012 I started with Metro kits from truck stops. I destroyed 5 kits in less than a month. Then it was an egoT kit, then a few ego twists, a bolt (dead in my vape parts box) a SS ZMax blue display (given to a friend) now a Provari, A Segeli 13a and a Smok Magneto. Toppers 2 Rsst's, 2 AGAT2's, PHEONIX dripper, some random carto tanks, protank3 modded, and a fogger. Mostly rba stuff or converted to rba stuff including a home jack job of a diver clone that sucked but now rocks. Next will be a DNA mod.

Started with Greensmokes to cut down on smoking. I thought I was being outrageously optimistic to think I could cut down my 2 1/2 pack a day habit in half in six months. I was happily dumbfounded that I never wanted another cigarette after taking my first vape. Unfortunately, the incessant battery charging drove me straight round the bend so I ordered Twists and Viva Novas in less than a week.

However, for several weeks I pretty much had the Greensmoke glued in my hand unless I was actually vaping with the Twist because I needed the cig-alike form factor for psychological comfort.

I started with a generic, store branded, ego style battery. 650 mAh, variable volt (5 clicks of the fire button to get to the next setting), passthrough that came in a blister pack with a plastic bottom coil clearo. Replacement coils were Evod coils. It was enough to get me off smoking and I was pleasently surprised at that. I've tried my friends Blu kits and felt those would never work for me. I never knew ego's existed until my mother gave me that starter kit after my grandmother died of lung cancer. The kit was similar to the link below. Same company, but it looks like they upgraded the topper to an actual Evod. At $14.95, I still think it's a great way for someone unsure about vaping to try it.
