Hi y'all! I haven't been around much lately but still vape like a fiend and read here daily. I used to work in a major auto manufacturing plant for one of the Big 3 but left almost 2 years ago when my grandma and the woman who raised me was assaulted by her home health aide and died. My partner and I opened our own in-home care company for the elderly and disabled in the KCMO area. I love what we're doing and feel fulfilled every minute of every day.

Not only do I vape everywhere but because smoking and smelling like smoke is bad in our business, I demand that my smoking caregivers only vape while on the job. A lot of them have turned to vaping full-time now :) I have sent 40+ people to V4L!

Thats a good idea to get peps to quit. Other companies should do that. Say you can vape while working.

My husband and I own a small monument shop. That is why you haven't seen much of me lately..Memorial Day is sooooo busy for us it's a big deal in these parts. A lot of our business these days is pre-need and when people are planning ahead it can be fun to work with them. The tough part is the loss of children and young adults...I've seen way to much of that this year. Then it can be a real depressing job, but normally I can come here read a little and laugh a lot...it's a great stress relief.

I am a casino floor supervisor in the pit (most of you would probably call me a pit boss, but that is actually MY supervisor). I watch people gamble and deal all day for a living. Most of the time it is a great job. You get to meet a lot of people from all over the world. On the days that it is a bad job, it's a really bad job.

I also did web design and graphic arts for a while. I ended up working way too much and retired from that now. I also have 3 bachelor degrees in accounting, nursing and small business management. None of them "stuck". Guess I will always work in a casino :)

With the economy the way it is, the field of debt collection should be booming! Hope hubby finds a great gig soon Harmony!!

Yeah, that's just it though. Everyone's in debt but that's because they can't pay. So they can't pay the debt collectors either. He's trying to get out of that line of work anyway. It's very depressing and negative. He's needs something fun and interesting. He went and applied at the local no-kill animal shelter, I think he will like that much better!

Thank you Morandir sir! He won't hear back from them until tomorrow (if he hears back). So we will see. He's been looking mainly at IT positions, help desk, call centers and such. I suggested the animal shelter because I think he would like it! Or maybe it's because I would like it ;) Too bad they don't have part-time positions! I would totally jump on that!

And Chesterwiz, no-kill is the only one I'd work in! I wouldn't be able to work in the other ones :(
