aka

I fix gas pumps.

it's a lot more exciting than it sounds...lol

I did that for a while. Get caught smoking fixing gas pumps and people get angry. Accidently blow up one gas station and you get asked to leave for "unprofessionalism." After that I worked at Sea World as an Orca caretaker. Get drunk one night and skinny dip in the Orca pool and you get yelled at. Get drunk again, put on some Barry White music and get caught in what looks like a four way with a Orca and you get fired for "unprofessionalism." It wasn't really a four way with the whale (though they do look like mermaids when you are drunk enough), she was just in the tank. If that dumb chic hadn't given her so much wine and made the whale jump out of the pool on to the seats, no one ever would have found out.

Retired mechanical engineer.
I worked 39 years in Phamaceutical packaging. One of my tasks was to designed those darn "hard to open" blister cards that had to be child resistant. The truth is the four year old kids could get into them, while adults would struggle with trying to open them. A four year old has some really sharp teeth and everything goes directly in their mouth.
I also designed packaging machines and facilities.
Now that I am retired, I use my hobby of vaping to keep me occupied and I build or modify most of my vape gear.

smoking while fixing them isn't what gets you in trouble....it's smoking while pouring gas back into the tank that does it...

I'm a computer repair/install tech, field work for banks and finance offices throughout the Hudson Valley. I drive quite a lot; most days it seems like everything is an hour and a half away from everything else and upwards of four to five hours a day for an hour or two of work. The car is a corporate fleet vehicle and no smoking allowed, but I vape in it all the time.

I can't imagine only doing one or two things to keep cash on hand. I'd get bored.

This year so far, I've cowboyed some... I've climbed some towers to work on communication equipment... I've done some IT work... I built and sold a couple of flamethrowers... I ran a backhoe for a few days... I delivered a semi-tractor... I drove a tractor for the purpose of seeding... I helped a distiller set up a couple of new stills... I ran a plasma table cutting tin for an HVAC company whose regular guy went on vacation... I ran a forklift for someone part of today and set up new accounting software on some computers for the same folks the rest of the day. I'm handy with technology, tools, heavy equipment, farm equipment, critters of all sorts, and etc etc etc. I'm up for most anything that pays.

Yeah. I vape whenever I want wherever I want when working and no one ever complains.

I'm a programmer at a collection agency. Don't worry, we do mainly B2B.
I vape everywhere except behind my desk, there are some colleagues who are .....ing about everything. Often i vape in the smoke room, just for the social aspect of it. But i dislike the smell afterwards in my clothes.

I'm working on my dive decree's, so i can leave the electronics behind and enjoy the fishies & corals with some panicking dive-students in the water, it's going to be fun.. :p
