I vote shrine, in order as their jerseys are retired like those t-shirts of ape > cro-magnon > kardashian.

There's a few reasons for dripping:

1. Until some of the newer sub-ohm cartomizer tanks, it was basically the way to get big warm flavorful vapes or clouds.
2. You generally get a really clean flavor, and a lot of it. As an example, earlier I was checking out an Arnold Palmer in a tank and it tasted of tart lemon with a bit of dry tea on the exhale. I'm dripping it right now, and the flavors are combining in a way that tastes much more like an Arnold Palmer. In other cases the individual flavors shine through.
3. Lots and lots of ways to customize your experience, from coils to airflow to banana on one coil and peanut butter on the other. Yeah you could mix them in a tank, but it tastes different.
4. Cleaning the coils/wicking is way easier, especially if you're using a really dark or rich eliquid.

There's more, but that should give the gist. It really isn't something to be afraid of and not something you need to go crazy over. An igo-L or caterpillar and a bit of kanthal & cotton will 100% on an MVP will 100% give you an idea as to whether it's for you, and then the madness can really start.

The guy who got me into vaping is still using his evod starter kit. So I bought him a mini protank2 and I'm gonna throw a few of my extra batteries his way as well. The rest I'm going to turn into conversion kits, to get other people I know a chance to try it without committing any money to it, except for juice, but if they're heavy smokers I'll be throwing in a free fill of anything of mine too.

ok thanks, what im trying to understand is, why are they so expensive when all they seem to be is a case for a battery and lets you connect a coil to the atomizer, $200 for some... >.<

Oooof. I can be wordy, so let's try to condense this. I believe you're asking about mechanical mods as opposed to RBAs/RDAs.

While there are higher fixed costs to precision-maching stainless steel compared to injection-molding plastic, a lot of it is artificial pricing and lack of economies of scale. Huge growth means people are willing to pay it (there's always someone new hitting the market right now), and to many they are lifestyle/status symbols.

Due to the explosion of the industry, the margins right now are insane by normal market standards. At 50-500% margins you're talking diamond/pharmaceutical markups -- I have been amazed when a company has managed to go out of business.

There are very, very high quality yet affordable mods and RDAs and such out there for cheap. For a non-clone you might check out the Astro on fasttech, etc.
