I was looking on DX for a battery charger and came across this thing $16.20 - White Light LED Flashlight + Emergency USB Charger with Cell Phone Adapters - Specialty Flashlights . It looks pretty cool and uses 18650 batteries so it would last a long time. The only thing I see as a problem is that it doesn't have a momentary switch, it is an on/off toggle type switch. Maybe there is enough room in the flashlight head for a small momentary button?

that is cool, as for the flashlight to atty, the connection is usb so why not make a mod that is a usb port to a switch to a connector then just plug it in instead of the flashlight head. doing this would give you a pv attachment for a flashlight that would still be functional, and still covered under warranty. i know its cheap but if you leave it intact and burnout something n the inside testing you design, it most likely could be covered. anyway cool find.
I had a simular Idea about this box 5V Mobile Power Supply USB Battery Charger 18650 Box | eBay holds 4 X 18650 batteries ( not included ) . This box would be better to use as is for a portable power supply for your cell phone and mp3 player . Also your PT ecig of course .

not necessarily better as there are lots of people that prefer 3.7v over 5v. both are good idea bases though.
Yeah, I have never used a 5v or higher device and am extremely satisfied with my 3.7v mods. Brewsterfrank, that is a good idea, I could easily make an atty connector that has a button in it with a male USB port on the other end to just put on the end of this thing. I even have some 3/4 inch poly tubing that I can cut down to just a couple inches. Then, find an endcap to drill a hole in for the atty connector on one and a slot on the other for USB. Drill a hole for the button and paint black. Would work and probably make it look good.
Edit: I think the flashlight attatchment is 1" diameter. Might look a little funny with 3/4 poly attatched. I might just try anyways.

i didnt see that but you could always remove pos. terminal from mod cut away some of the plastic and reposition the pos. should give just enough room for the protected 18650. i myself only use protected in mods with more than one battery. as long as you pay attention to what you are doing and keep an eye on the unprotected they most likely will not explode. they work fine in my 3.7 mods. (i use them cause i have them, china order and they sent unprotected instead of protected, didnt want to go through the hassle of exchange or refund)
well i dont do the china juice, except what i get from madvapes, i prefer not to have to wait a month to get my juice. the wait from juicy vapor is long enough. good prices, but cheap doesnt always mean good when it comes to juice. plus id rather know when my juice is coming from, if i have questions i can ask the make. DX is like amazon they dont make anything, only sell for other people.
Yeah, +1 on ordering juice from China. I don't think I would ever do that. Back to the topic at hand, since this is a charger in essence, shouldn't there be a protection circuit built in to this thing? If not, can't you just clip the spring for the negative terminal to like half size and still have it work with a protected battery? I don't know, the only mod I have ever made was a 2xAA box but for some reason the battery only seemed to last like 3 to 4 hours with a 900mAh 14500. That's really sad because I basically have the same vaping habbits now than I did then and a 650mAh eGo batt lasts me like 28 to 30 hours on a single charge! Actually, I am vaping on the same charge on a 650mAh eGo battery that I took off the charger at about 11:00AM yesterday morning and it is now 10:10PM here! And that's with a 2.4 ohm CE2. Haven't actually put it on an ohm meter to test exactly what it's resistance is, but it vapes like a champ! Anyone know why a supposed 900mAh Trustfire 14500 would only last a few hours, but my dinky 650mAh eGo just keeps going and going and going ... ?
its just a bad battery. i have one the dies after 2-3yrs every time, my joye 510's out last it. when i got it it worked fine, after the second charge it screwed up. its mate still works perfect though.
