What does "Bump" mean in a thread?

Sorry, this is not related to e cig subject, but have seen "Bump" on the many posts in the classified area. Thanks

Threads with the most recent replies are seen at the top of the forum. Adding a reply to a thread sends it back to the top.

when a new post is posted on a thread it gets moved ("bumped") up to the top of the list, so people post it so more people will see the thread near the top and hopefully reply!

When you "bump" a thread it puts it back at the top of the list for more people to see.
Basically " I have nothing to say, but someone else might want to see this"

Just means they are putting it back at the top of the list, like if you hit new posts. Also will be higher in the list of threads if your looking at Directory of the sub forum. Basically people do it so it is easier to find and be viewed by more people.
