When i was a dork in high school i use to play a RPG game online where i played a character who was a vampire (waaaay before vampires were cool) I was a big fan of Anne Rice novels back then. So i picked Alaric who was a king of Visigoths / Barbarian general in the Roman army who attacked Rome in 410. My storyline was i was turned shortly after that. NJ is the state i live in. I know sooo lame. I kept using alaric for my handle online since then.

That's not bad. Mine is a shortened form of my very first world of warcraft character's name that I got off of the random generator in the game. It was "Wahotahan" and I've since used Waho, Wahota, Wahotah and others with the Waho base :)

glad I'm not the only video gamer handle carrier here. From my first favorite RPG, Final Fantasy 3 on the SNES, the character Shadow's pet dog was named interceptor, and 00 because it was the year 2000 when I came up with the handle. Still one of my favorite games of all time, though FF7 bumped it to 2nd place

just found this thread...what fun. A bump for us new residents.

I've done some traveling in east Africa and learned a decent amount of Kiswahili as I went along. Lala salama means goodnight..sleep well, and I just think it's a beautiful word and I love saying it. Uli lala salama? means did you sleep well?

I love the way it roll off the tongue...Swahili is a very very beautiful language.

oh, and 8 is just my lucky number; the symbol for infinity if you turn it on its side..my SS # has five 8's in it!

I have been using this nickname since I first signed up for a hotmail account years ago.
lucky = is my real first name
x = was put in so I did not have to state the month of my birth
16 = the day of the month I was born on
2000 = is the year I signed up for the account.
the _'s = had to be inserted between the name and x16, because believe it or not, someone already had that name.
