I've never heard anyone compare the taste of flavorless to an analog, but it also depends on where you get the unflavored nicotine from. In my experience it does not all taste the same. But, some of it can have a sweeter taste to it, and like topdogie said, it can have a peppery taste and throat hit depending on what mg nicotine you are vaping. I use it a lot now because I get tired of the strong flavors. It's good to vape if you have vapor's tongue or if you are just wanting a flavor break.

I'm curious as well. I just had a friend make me 100% vg , 100% pg, and 50/50 unflavored but I'm scared to try them due to possibly nasty flavor.

Oh, it won't taste nasty. But what this will come down to is any taste that might be in the PG and VG bases and if the nic has any flavor itself. Plain nic can vary from flavorless to having a slight peppery taste/sensation. PG can be flavorless to slightly bitter. VG usually has a sweet edge to it. Regardless, the stuff mixed would have to be really REALLY bad in some form to taste nasty.

Unflavored actually makes for a very good break and acts as a palate reset, especially if you are on flavor overload from chasing for an ADV flavor you just can't seem to find. It breaks vaping down to it's most basic form and reminds you what you like about the basic vaping experience. It's also a good place to go if you think you might be "lost" about what you want in throat hit versus vapor production by playing with the PG/VG ratio alone and getting "flavor confusion" out of the way for a while.

I know vaping unflavored can sound a little weird, but you may be surprised how much you like it for a change of pace.

I vape unflavored in 100% PG. The PG has a mild sweet taste. I don't find it bitter but I have a very high tolerance for bitterness, eg. I enjoy very heavily hopped IPA beers. The nicotine has a spicy/peppery taste as others have said. Purer nicotine has a milder taste. I use Totally Wicked's Titanium Ice and it's significantly milder than other nicotine I've used.

What does zero flavor taste like
well for starters it has zero flavor :D

pg and vg plain are actually kinda ok the heavier the vg gets the more of a sweet note. and like others said the different nic's dont add much. several people here vape plain juice. i like loading up my dripper with just a few drops of pure vg when friends come over. tastes like sugar but makes giant clouds and they are like WOW.......................

dip your finger in some pure vg and suddenly saccharine tastes dull, i use it in emergencies if i run out of sugar for my coffee lol

I was a little concerned when trying unflavored, but it's really pleasant. I find that I will sometimes vape it for days on end without really noticing. When I switch back to a flavored juice, it's that much more enjoyable because the flavor really pops. Unflavored is sometimes sweet, sometimes peppery, and generally inoffensive. I'll never be without it again.

Well I just happen to be vaping "unflavored" right now, and it's my "all day vape" of choice.

Nicotine has a distinct flavor all it's own. You will in fact be hard pressed to find substances that are completely tasteless. Nicotine is also the only substance that smoking and vaping have in common. Both PG & VG also have their own distinct flavors. So with "unflavored" e-liquid you will get a blend of nicotine, PG and/or VG flavors.

I would also point out that nicotine influences every flavor that you would care to add to it, and just changing the nicotine % will change the way a flavor tastes.

You make Peach e-liquid taste like a peach simply by overpowering the tastes of nicotine, PG & VG.

I think people compare it to a cigarette because after you've been smoking the same cigarette brand for years you don't really notice the flavor. And if you go to a lighter cigarette it tastes like nothing, which is what flavorless tends to taste like when you first try it.

I could hardly tell I was vaping. Throat hit was like when I went to 0mg, severely lacking (18mg).
Assuming you stick with the same PG/VG mix flavor and feel all depends on the nicotine. Different nicotine vendors and batches are different, also there's oxidation to consider.

I always keep one of my clearos filled with unflavored. When none of my flavors will satisfy me the unflavored does the trick. I mix mine 60pg/40vg @ 14mg nic. Mine has a slight sweet taste with that combo. Unflavored is all hubby will vape. Try it. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Well, I would try it but I'm scared. Lol. I mean, it has almost no flavor yet I might like it? When I had vt I was craving flavor, it just about drove me insane.....not a far away trip to that place. Idk, if I see it in a store I might try it but I'm not gonna go to any trouble to order it. So, I'm committing to think about committing to try it....or I should be committed, I get all these mixed up. Lol
