I was hoping someone could give me a link for the best dremil attachment to buy for slotting cartos. I want to buy boges because they are cheaper and slot them myself for my tanks. I have no idea what I would use but I know my husband has a nice dremil out on the garage waiting to be loved by someone. Thanks in advance.:)

Why don't you just punch your cartos. It's quick and easy!http://phiniac.com/pid-832/carto-punch.html

I've used everything-

used something like this for awhile
Amazon.com: Line Tap Valve by Sealed Unit Parts Co., Inc.: Everything Else

Used a dremil, even a finishing nail. I got a carto punch from one of the suppliers that was around $5.00. All will work. I use thin, mostly PG liquid so the slots with the dremil were a little big for me. Thicker VG liquid would be fine with it though. Practice on some old cartos. Sorta fun.

Watch pbusardos video, already linked in the thread OR grimgreens video "let's punch cartos" (I would link it but im on my phone).

I use the carto punch method by Grimmgreen, its easier and more foolproof, but if you absolutely WANT to slot them, use the method as described by pbusardo, it works well also.

Cut slots eat o-rings every time they slide through. A $8 saddle valve does a great job and is very easy to use. Don't buy the cheapie saddle valve, buy the heavy duty. It completely supports the carto and does not bend it out of shape.
