Most all fast tech goods are free shipping .. it's generally a 8-10 business day delivery .. click the link and take a browse .. (I'm not endorsing Fast Tech, but no one can deny they offer a great deal)

Id second the MVP, they are great mods.
A protank or the new protank 2 on top of that mvp will be amazing.
The only drawback on that is its better to have a good backup, you don't want something to break down and have to resort to something not as good.

If you want to stay with ego sized batteries a kit like this Kanger Evod Starter Kit

They aren't variable voltage but they run @ 3.7 volts, with a 2 ohm evod they hit fantastic.

That link Uncle Willie posted above me is the best deal you'll find for a ego variable voltage, you can get 2 of those and order a few evods from mbv (which are the cheapest ive seen) and they will be real a kanger product. stay away from fasttech clearos till you have more experience because most likely you could get a chinese knockoff that will be terrible.

It does take orders from fasttech about 2 weeks to ship also.

I don't mind shying away from ego batteries, I really do like that iTaste VV 3.0 though. I will propose the question: what is the ideal battery (variable voltage) for use with the kanger protank or kanger evod?

Edit: I can't seem to figure out how to send a PM, I believe I have the required amount of post. Any ideas?

I don't know if there would be an ideal battery .. to me, a battery is a battery .. an 1100 mah unit that is a VV is a good all day general purpose unit that's not a huge mod .. and all batteries will eventually wear out anyway ..

The reason I ask is I've seen a lot of battery mods bigger than ego batteries, but ego seems to be a standard, a lot like ATX for computers. Meaning ego batteries have a lot of the same connections and such, is there a standard that's bigger than the ego, or are all of those battery mods just individual?

They all have replaceable heads so you can run 1.8-2.8 ohm so it really doesnt matter that much.
If you get a protank or evods be sure you order 2ish ohm replacement heads with it. Like a 5 pack.

Id say evods work better with ego batteries and protanks with bigger mods.

Heres a kit for the vv, comes with 4 - iclear 16s which are great

Here is the mvp kit

From reviews ive seen, even tho the mvp only goes to 5 volts and doesn't have a variable wattage function it is a better devices.

Like I said tho, fasttech you'll be waiting for a long time with shipping 2 weeks + is normal.

iVape has the iTaste VV 3.0 for 35 dollars so I'll probably get it from there, the MVP is a bit out of my range at the moment.

Edit: the MVP is 55 at iVape but only 45 at fasttech, I just don't know if I want to order from china.

Bigger battery mods have the same 510/ego cone threading connection. They just have more battery life and more control over voltage/wattage.

There are larger capacity ego units, however, once you get beyond the ego style, you're into larger mod territory that take separate batteries that are replaceable .. it's really personal preference .. the ego/510 connector is absolutely the most common on any device ..

It is comparing 1 battery and a charger to a complete kit tho. If you can wait on shipping it is a much better deal.

Still looking at buying evods, 4 evods $20. the iclears are just as good imo, and they have less problems with flooding.

So about a week ago I quit smoking and dipping and decided to start vaping. I Found a Vapor123 E-Go for 30$ at my local Cox Smokers Outlet.

Firstly, welcome! :)

Secondly, I'm glad you got that kit for $30. I googled it and found a vendor selling it for $79.99 - that is disgraceful. :( You can get these for $11 (equivalent, without juice) in the UK.

If you don't want to get a big "18650" battery device, get a Vision Spinner and try out a few clearomisers.

I use my Spinner ($25) more than my eVic or Lavatube etc. Mostly, I use Vision mini vivi novas and evods. I gave up on Kanger T3 (all 6 of them leaked) but I hear the new TS3 is good. I only buy genuine ones from reputable vendors. No fasttech ones, no half-price clones.
