what flavorings can be used for DIY liquid?

hi,
i would like to know what type of flavorings can be used safely for atomiser.
Got some Pineapple baking flavoring here, at label it says:
Ingredients: aroma,ethanol.
So it's alcohol based... can i use this?
what's better for the atty: oil based or alcohol based? LorAnn uses essential oils... is this what i need?
how many drops of flavoring do you use for 10ml bottle?

i have 24mg tobacco flavored juice here and i think i can't stand its harsh tobacco taste anymore...
