definitely a word of caution on the cactus, it will take over a mix pretty quickly even at 1% (or less if the other flavors are on the lighter side). Love the stuff plain, but haven't been able to get it working in a mix where it did not walk all over every other flavor.

I think the DW or saline would be the go to method first. Then Marshmallow at 1%. We are talking $1 dollar and a few minutes of time to do it right. A few more $'s to try saline, or if you have non-iodized salt you can make your own with the distilled water. Sort of a 2 for 1 purchase in that respect.

Gah, I knew I forgot something last night when ordering. I had $70 worth of flavors and I forgot the Cactus! I did get the marshmallow and loads of others. I was looking for "butter" since that was in some recipes I found here and there and of course they don't sell butter flavor any longer...badies in it. The only thing I have been able to find online that is sorta a substitute for butter flavor is sweet cream. Guess I can try a batch with the sweet cream and see if that adds the moisture these cakes and cookies need.

Any familiar with a substitute for "butter" flavoring please let me know. THank you for all of your help here!

Mom & Pop Flavor shop have a ButtaBlend, not sure about the baddies in it and I haven't used it yet in a mix but that's what I bought for butter.

Hmmm, I haven't had this issue at all with Cactus but I only bought it for the "wetness", not to use as an actual flavor (yuck). I've used it at 2 drops per 15ml and 1 drop in 10ml and I can't taste it at all at that dilution.
