I live in Florida ... I used to purchase 18mg NIC juice from many different internet companies. Now there are not many companies anymore selling juice on-line, and it seems like the strongest pre-made juice they sell is 6mg NIC. (we are not talking about NIC salts here, just regular juice).

Is there some kind of a law that now limits the NIC content in juice to just 6mg?

Jeeeze ... they used to even sell 24mg juice too ... not anymore it seems.

What's going on here ?

Another big change I have noticed ... A friend of mine ordered some of that 6mg NIC flavored juice from two different vendors. Both orders he had to sign for the delivery. This is something that was not needed before.

However, I just recently purchased some 100mg nicotine base for DIY and did not need to sign for it when it was delivered ... Strange that you would need to sign for pre-made 6mg juice, but not the much stronger 100mg nicotine base liquid.

Very strange indeed !

It's very dependent on the vendor but the law saws you should be signing.

Ron,

I stopped even looking a few years back, because everything had spun to low strength, high VG. The only one I really liked all that much was Naked Lava Flow, so I buy it at whatever, then mix it up with 60-100mg nic and straight PG. It comes out to about 15mg, 50/50 (I prefer it around 65% PG, but the 50/50 works).

Even cut in half, that flavor is STRONG!

So, I guess we make do with whatever we have and "can do". Times, they have a'changed.

I don't think this vaping thing is as popular as it was 4 or 5 years ago (or even a couple of years ago).

Case in point ... This 'e-cigarette' forum used t be very very busy. Lots and lots of posts here, but as I now come back to it, there are no where near the posts we used to get.

I don't know what is happening, but things certainly have changed here.

Well, it's now been 8 years since I gave up those damned cigarettes and I am still vaping instead.

4.5 ml of 15mg Nic juice per day (mouth to lung on the old Kayfun Lite Plus V2 atty) ... At least I can breath better than I did when I was hopelessly addicted to those 2 packs per day of Marlboro Red !

Had I continued to smoke cigarettes, I more than likely would be DEAD now !

Oh it would be very popular even today. But Bloomberg has been warring against vaping and got laws changed all around the world to make it nearly impossible to get. Technically, all vapes except one model (from BT) is illegal in the US to sell. And all juices are still illegal to sell. Lots of shops and even manufactures has closed their doors. Even this month, China bans the selling and manufacturing of all vape products.

And USPS, FedEx, and UPS have banned shipping of any vape related items. And if any other shipping company that wants to ship vape products, must submit a mountain worth of paperwork to the government. Thus the government maintains a list of vapers. What few vape related items vapers get today is only because there hasn't been any big crackdowns yet.

I thought you had a local shop that mixed for you?

I mix my own.

The reason I started this thread is that a friend of mine complained to me that she had such a hard time buying 18mg Nic ready made juice.

I looked on the internet myself to see if I could help her find some juice only to find that buying ready made juice was nothing like it was before.

As far as my friend ... she now buys the 6mg pre-made juice from wherever, and then I add the correct amount of 100mg nicotine base liquid in order to get her juice up to 18mg nic.

I have also made her some 18mg nic juice (50% VG / 50% PG) from scratch with what ever flavor she likes ... I buy the concentrated flavoring from Bull City Flavors.

What you are doing is probably your best bet at this juncture. But if you foresee making juice for her on a regular basis, you should consider buying more liters of nic base while you still can.

I liked your rig... This one is cool too:

Is that the Kayfun 'Prime' ?

I just ordered a Chinese 'Prime' clone from Fasttech yesterday ($15.50)

$15.50 KF Prime Styled RTA - 316 stainless steel / 22mm diameter at FastTech - Free Shipping

My two Kayfun 'Lite Plus V2' atomizers are getting so old, that I thought it might be time to get another atomizer as a backup (or a replacement).

The Kayfun is the only atomizer that I have ever been really happy with since I vape mouth to lung (tootle puffer).

I make a single coil using Kanthal 27 gauge wire and make 8 wraps on a 2.8mm drill bit ... this gets me a 1.28 - 1.32 ohm coil. I usually power that with a modest 10.5 watts and vape that like I would smoke a cigarette.

Vaping still popular here, just different. Most Vape shops carry more vape supplies than cigs (though cannabis choices take up more room, WA state).

The problem is, new vapors are going for the juuls and pre filled pods, along with the salt nic. They have no knowledge of the before times (a movie coming soon :w00t:). I turned to mixing my own, because even 12mg is rare, the lowest nic salt available locally is 35mg, I don't like the taste of the nic salt I purchased.

Most of the vape gear are pods, with heavy choice of non refillables. I have 2 versions of pods, the second is closer to a mod.

Mention RDA or RTA to these folks, they won't know what you are talking about. I know this information from talking to other relatively new, or last years converts, to vaping. Asked what worked for you (they complained about vaping while smoking), they say the Juul is the best. Convenience (and apparently, lack of flavors plus high levels of nicotine) seem to be the highest priorities for new folks. Don't think they have googled any info, nor watched you tube videos. Its pay and vape on the way out of the shop (they wouldn't know about online sales).

I've seen that here and there, flavors that look intriguing, but no higher than 6 mg. offered. I could be wrong, but I thought it might be because they didn't do all of the pmta submissions. I do have 5-6 sellers I've bought 12 mg from in recent months, and 13 mg from Freedomsmokeusa.com . 13 mg. appeals to the goth in my soul.

I'll list all the sellers I've been getting liquid from if you want to see them.

Ahhh... there are a number of reasons here but mainly:

    Fragmentation

The two big current trends are "pod mods" and multi-drop-in-coil high powered "cloud chasers".

The high power and vapor output folks tend to vape at ~3-6mg. (or maybe less) The pod mod users generally use nic salts at 35-50mg.

I drop in on my local vape shop from time to time and last time I was there all they had was a whole bunch of different pod mods and a handful of mods/atomizers that were high power.

There was NOTHING that had a replaceable battery and NO atomizers where the user needed to wind their own coil.

They had a wall of different types of juice however as mentioned, ~3-6mg free base and ~35-50mg nic salts were the only choices.
