Hi,

My cool fire 4 tank cracked today and I can't find any of my spares... I went to my local vape shop and got an aspire 40-60 watts coil with the tank as they didn't have my Normal ones!

My device only goes up to 40 watts but I am vaping at this and my tank is getting really hot and it keeps crackling in my mouth! I normally vape at 27-30.

Can I vape with this coil at 30 watts? I feel like this thing is going to explode on me!!

When you say aspire tank, which one is it exactly. Some aspire factory coils can crackle some until they break in. Not sure why it is getting hot though. Shouldn't get really hot. Vaping the coils at 30 watts is fine, it will just take a little longer to get a vape. What was the original tank on the cool fire?

You can always vape below the recommendations if you prefer it. With any new coil type, the best suggestion is to start well below the recommended power and gradually move up until you're happy with the results.

If you go too low, the coil won't heat up but no harm will be done. Just bump up your settings until it works.

Crackling is normal with some atomizers and coils. It generally gets worse with higher power (watts) and will generally diminish as the coil becomes gunked from use. None have ever exploded, but people have worried about that from time to time.

There is no lower safe limit to watts with a coil. If you feel like it try it at say 15 watts and slowly increase the watts until you get a satisfying vape and the crackling is subdued enough so you're comfortable with it. The watt number doesn't matter, your vape experience is all that counts. My bet is you'll probably find a happy medium and as the coil gets 'worn-in' you'll find you'll want to increase the power a bit.

Good luck with it :)

Thanks so much guys!

My new tank/coil I am not sure which one it is, I left the box at home. I just know its a 40 watts - 60 watts coil, I was so desperate so I just got it! To be fair it seems OK now and I am getting more flavour from the ejuice compared to my old tank.

The one i normally use is Innokin iSub G Tank with 0.5 coils... I only vape on 26 - 30 watts normally with that and vaping at 40 watts with this one was way too much! I turned it down to 30 and its much better... My old coil used to crackle but this one literally felt like it was sending an electric vault to my tongue haha - it might be because my device only goes up to 40 watts and i had it straight at that when i put the coil in, it isn't doing it anymore.

Thanks so much for your help :)

Your tongue will melt and your brains will OOZE out of your ears!!

Or you can disregard any of the hype on the coils and vape at what works for you with said coils
