If it's a carto, they tend to ease up on the snap, crackle, & pop after a little bit of use.
Make sure your button is turned fully counter-clockwise.
Sometime "gunk" gets in between the button and the body of the Mini, making it harder to press. Flushing hot water from the tap while pressing the button several times usually cleans it well enough. Be sure to dry out your Mini before using it again if you wash it.
Things to check:
Fully charged battery, also check spring under battery to make sure it's normal and not compressed.
Flooded atty or carto, or carto is clogging ie worn out
Button partially turned ie not all the way in the n" possition
