Hmm, we order on the same day, April. Maybe the new extract after the first of the year needed time to mature.

Or maybe that was the bottle I found in my fridge that ended up being wonderful? The other order date was November 2. I don't date the bottles, so it could have been either. The only way to know is for me to try it again.

See, when I received my first batch of it last July, I did not like it (did not know about steeping at that time). I gave the bottle away.. 8-o

The next time I tried it, was when April sent me what she had, and I could not take it for too long.

The batch I have now, AWESOME!!

Don't know what to make of it.. did the recipe change a couple times over?!

The original batch of Pirate's Booty (that was so incredibly good) ran out around Christmas. So Adam has been on the second batch since.

I've thought about reordering some too April. Maybe in another couple months. Adam said his extracts change with age so maybe that grassy stuff has been tamed. Serendipity perhaps as well.

You didn't send Dust that vintage bottle of PB you discovered in your ice box did you? That's what the rba was supposed to be for.

EDIT: Sounds like you did send Dust the vintage PB. Do you know there are thieves going around killing people and stealing their pre-Christmas PB from them?

Dust, it sounds like you got the original batch of PB (pre Xmas) from Ms April. It should taste very close to your Dragon's Fire. And you would be correct, there should be no grassy in it.

That is some vintage juice you have there my Friend. I still have 15mls from October that I vape on very special occasions (like when I can't stand looking at it anymore). And when I do, I just relax and take it all in.

Something does not add up Dust. Ms April is certain you got post Xmas PB which is supposedly the same as the "newer" PB you have yet you say your "newer" PB is significantly better than April's post-Xmas PB (which is supposed to be from the same batch of extract). So either the extract changed with age or the facts are not the facts. The one revealing aspect of this is that you don't like the April batch and I can guarntee you if it were pre-Xmas PB it would taste nearly identical to your current DF. We know this is not true because you love DF and would know. So I am drawing the same conclusion...the extract changed with age.

Now, when I go and order more, how much do you want to bet it will taste the same as the post X-mas PB that I rejected?

Oh well. I just re-meshed my Genny using some Kanthal 30ga. and filled it with some Dragon's Fire so I'm happy and don't care.

And you would know the difference between the "good" PB and the "bad" PB cuz you thought the "bad" PB tasted like a cigar.

Which raises the question...have you ever smoked a cigar?

For the record, that PB tasted equally nasty at 1 week, 1 month, etc... It didn't change much. Pure nasty every time I tried it. What's unusual is that Dusty did not like it either, but likes what he has now. Makes me want to have a little gathering and everyone try everything and discuss it.

If I don't try PB again, it will most certainly be different and better. If I do try PB again, it will be the same old stuff I didn't like.
