What in juice causes tanks to crack?

I know that there are a lot of flavors out there that crack plastic poly tanks but what is it in the juice that causes this to happen? I have had a rum flavor fog up a tank before, & some other juices crack it. Is it the acid level of a juice? Alcohol?

I was enjoying a test batch of a new flavor yesterday (DIY), and noticed a crack in my T3s. I retired it before it completely broke down. Normally, I only use pyrex for all my vaping so I never really had the problem before. I know that this is a common problem though. Any thoughts on this?

It's not actually the liquid causing the plastic to crack, it's a chemical reaction with the plastic.

Glass and polypropylene are fine.

Well, if contact with the juice and plastic start a chemical reaction, any/all juices would cause plastic tanks to crack then, but since only certain flavors are tank killers, and its not a pH issue, then there is still an ingredient somewhere which is causing the reaction to occur.

Long term, I always transfer my liquid to glass bottles.
