What is a beauty ring?

Hiya

Could someone please explain to me what a beauty ring is? I received one in my innokin iTaste CLK! 800mAh and 1280mAh and I can't figure out what to do with it. On a wild guess, I thought it might be for covering something unsightly if you're mixing and matching parts, however, it didn't seem to matter what I mixed or matched, it still wouldn't fit on anywhere - plus there was nothing unsightly to cover up anyway, even in screwing in all sorts of different things.... It does fit over the threads though when it's charging - maybe it's to protect the threads while you have the clearomizer screwed onto a spare battery? Any info would be great. Thanks!

a beauty ring is a part that attaches to the mod/battery to cover the Ego threads when a 510 threaded atty is used... its also used as a transition ring to go from the thinner dia battery to the wider atty base... its basically a "make it prettier" device

Several clearos (CE-4, iTaste 16, etc.) either use the eGo threads, or have a skirt that coves them. So you would just set the beauty ring aside. Many of the larger tank type toppers (carto tanks, Pro tanks, etc.) do not have a skirt, and leave the eGo threads exposed. So you would use the beauty ring.

510 "male" connector

eGo battery accepts both eGo and 510 connections

Clearomizers are made with either a 510 or eGo connector. An eGo battery accepts both "eGo" and "510" threaded juice attachments. Ego attachments have a female "skirt" connection which overhangs when attached to the battery, covering or hiding the battery's top connector.

510 connectors have the protruding "male" center pin; when attached to an eGo battery the juice attachment/battery will have an hourglass appearance top to bottom(not flush top to bottom like the second battery below). Adding a beauty ring, cone adaptor, or sleeve makes the attachment/battery look more flush top to bottom when using a juice attachment with the male 510 connector.

As tj99959 said, I don't think this applies to my device... It must have the, "skirt," because I can't find any attachment that leaves anything showing -shrug-

If you purchased the Click kits or are using all EGO threaded toppers, NO you will not have a use for the ring.

Should you purchase any standard 510 threaded devices, you can use the ring to fill the gap.
