What is a "center post build"?

I've done countless builds. Countless. I've been seeing this trend of the center post build, but have no clue what it is. From what I've seen, the coil is always directly in front of the center post. Is that it? Just setting it up so the lead from the center post is straight and the outer post has a bend or angle to it? What am I missing here, and what are the advantages?

That... Depends on the rebuild able you're using... Not all have a "center" post... I gotta say I'm at a loss as well, but it sounds like a vertical coil instead of horizontal...

Sorry, wrong bid. Basically both coils are parallel the center post, therefore requires a three post atty.
