anyways, my question is...

what is all this extra stuff? All the sites advertise the ingredients as propylene glycol, water, and nicotine.

Well my guess is that propylene glycol, water and nicotine are the standard ingredients and all the other ingredients are for the different types of flavour.

This one was fun to google - almost all of these are flavorings

2,3,5-trimethylpyrazine is excreted by ants as a way to communicate with other members of the species. It is a volatile, colorless liquid that is soluble in water and in most organic solvents. It has a nutty, roasted smell.

2?3-DIMETHYLPYRAZINE colourless to light yellow liquid with a nutty, cocoa-like odour

All of these proved to be flavorings.
Interesting mishmash of synthetic chemicals though.
If one is really sincere about cutting out the crap - I would stick to the non-flavored stuff.
