mount baker will still sell in Cali as soon as they figure out the new age proof deal.
Other companies will know it's basically unenforceable at least for the time being and will keep shipping to Cali.

The Cali deal is Cali raising their Own state tobacco AND vape age, it has JACK to do with the FDA.

No, the Sky Isn't falling.

There really isn't a good TL/DR version, but I'll try...

FDA "deeming" regulations came out.
We are more screwed than any of us thought.
We have a couple of years, maybe, depending on how it goes.

I suspect we don't have nearly that long.
States have also been trying to work us over, complicating the issue.

California passed a new law.
Age verification is the sticking point for MBV right now.

From a purely personal standpoint, vaping has the potential to extend my life expectancy and save me a boatload of tax money ... :D

Some very determined people in government, public health, and certain industries are working very hard to ensure that I die when I was statistically supposed to, and to recover that lost tax revenue while I'm still alive ...

My Dad used to say "Remember son, every silver lining has a cloud around it" ... :(

You need to watch what the FDA is doing, and what your state is doing. Between the two, you're between two vise jaws.
I'm not worried about the FDA or any Federal enforcement of anything ECig related,
But...

I would have to agree the stage is set for State Taxation even WHEN Cole-Bishop is signed and what Seems like the immediate threat is over. The hopeful good news is that should only apply to the Nic. It's going to be pretty hard to tax all the other vape hardware bits themselves. (Remember, smoking acessories Today Aren't charged any special Tobacco tax...)

I think Vermont has a NINETY % tax ready to pass.

The real issue with the tax is there won't be enough ardent, mouthy enough vapers in any one state to stop the oncoming tax.

Your saving grace may be Where you live, whether a tax Everyone's Everything Nanny state or a state Less likely to have burdensome taxes.

FWIW, I think it's probably impossible to stamp out importing Nic from outside the country if there are overseas sources that are trustable.

i'm just getting back into vaping and i'm seeing some posts about FDA which sounds pretty serious. i live in CA and i heard mtbakervapor no longer sells to us, this is pretty shocking.

can someone just give me a TLDR rubdown on what the situation is with the FDA? will vaping be no more?
If your grandfather was born before 2007 he has to rat you out for vaping. Then Homeland security will send you to Gitmo and you'll be waterboarded every day until you guess the warden's favorite e liquid flavor. Since there are 7,000 flavors that will take a while. Then you'll be sent back to Syria where you came from. You'll get 5 wives and 5 mothers in law, a fate worse than death, and fight for Isis until your red Toyota pickup is blown up by a Hellfire missle. Terrorist!

Wasn't it Washington state that is taxing all vape products to oblivion though? So I think it is going to be more than nicotine. I could be wrong though.

A large portion of our Nic is Imported. You will notice many companies do Not Disclose sourcing. Much of my Nic is From Poland. Chemnovatic

NicSelect - India

Many are a mystery, with a Few Cloaking Mixing reduced solutions in PG/VG as Manufacturing - after receiving 99% nic Base from actual Manufacturers.

I live in California. Just got an order from Mt Baker last week and nothing was different about the ordering process. I'm not sure where you heard that from, but it seems like misinformation at this point.
It started Thursday due to age verification
