Thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster for that! (is 'people' really that difficult to type? Damn, people are slugs today) However, I vape pretty much as I used to smoke cigarettes. Back then, I didn't leave huge clouds of smoke billowing out of my car window which nearby observers couldn't miss, like Cheech & Chong. And I generally took draws of 2-3 seconds, sometimes more if I felt tense for some reason...as I said, pretty much the way I vape now. And I generally vape at around 8W with a 1.6 to 1.8 coil.
I don't want to be critical of anyone who has escaped the smoking habit. But, I think some vapers go WAY beyond simulating the smoking experience into something totally new. And I don't want any part of it. Someone, someday, will likely prove vaping is hazardous to our health, and most likely they will cite extreme users such as this.
Cheech and Chong "Up in Smoke" was popular. many people actually liked that movie - I couldn't stand it, there was not one thing funny to me about the comedy duo, or any movie they made or any routine they did.
And I was young when they were popular - young enough I should have found them funny if for no other reason than to spite my parents, yet I couldn't manage so much as a smile in response to any of their comedy.
What I never did was to criticise others for their differing tastes. Everyone is unique and it's a beautiful thing - how boring this world would be if we were all carbon copies of each other. We can appreciate others despite differences.
When I vaped I did so around 12 - 15 or so watts on average. Typical tootle puffer I am.. low wattage flavor chasing vaper.
My son loves vaping at 90-100 watts all day. every day. He does the fancy coils that can handle the power, gets tons of flavor and just loves vaping like that.
I have zero understanding of it. I really don't. I certainly couldn't do it if you paid me. But here's the thing; I don't have to understand it. All I have to know is that he isn't smoking cigarettes anymore and is saving money - shockingly enough.
There is no reason to deride anyone for their own choices. The choices are theirs to make, not ours. We can celebrate that they made a better choice than smoking...
and some day perhaps, they will grow out of big clouds and make different choices.
But deriding others for their different choices is just plain unkind, and definitely unnecessary.
