Hi everyone, like some people have not had much success with the protank. I really wanted it to work but it's not. When ever I have a new coil in my protank, it works great. Here comes the bad part, when I refill the tank I get the burnt taste. Ok, so simple solution, rotate coils every fill. But lets say half way through the tank I decide to refill, I get that burnt taste again. If I didn't refill and vaped the remainder of the juice it would have been fine.

What is it with the refill that causes the burnt taste? It doesn't matter when the tank is filled. Now with the EVOD I never have this issue. As a matter of fact with the EVOD I can refill 4 times and not one burnt taste.

Does anyone have an explanation to why this happens? I am going crazy with this.

Try puffing into the mouthpiece after filling. You should see some bubbles appear in the liquid, which means that liquid will be forced onto the wick. You are essentially restoring the positive pressure in the tank that was lost when you opened it.

I have the same issue sometimes with ProTanks and EVODS. I attribute it to the e-liquid that's on the coil draining off when you open the tank and the loss of pressure. You know, that drop or two that comes out of the mouthpiece when refilling? Anyhow, especially when the tank is full, the wick doesn't seem to saturate immediately and the quick puff seems to speed things up. I rarely have to do it more than once after filling.

Um, imo, "puffing into the mouthpiece" suggests he means blowing in, yes, no power. No, won't hurt it but be gentle

The idea is to slightly pressurize the tank, since it returned to ambient pressure when opened.

Yes, I did mean blowing into the mouthpiece. Similar to blowing up a balloon, just not nearly that much pressure. Maybe blowing bubbles in a drink through a straw might be a better analogy.

Thanks everyone for your response. Just curious, why this pressure issue happen on the protank and not the evod? Is it because the protank is larger?

It actually happens more often in my EVODs than in the ProTank, probably because my ProTank wick is pretty loose. The EVOD require a puff into them practically every time I fill them.
