What is it?

Hi. I'm fairly new to ecigs and liquid. I ordered something from a company and along with my goods was a sample bottle of juice. On the ingredients was BG. What is BG? I've tried goggling it but came up empty. Please help. Thanks

Maybe it was a typo for PG? What was the complete list of ingredients?

Okay, I just found this: Excited about our PG/VG Mix…

but it doesn't explain what BG is.

ETA: Oh, I suspect it's a typo for VG. V being right next to the B on the keyboard and all.

I did also find the BG could stand for Butyl Glycol Ether, but it's more commonly referred to as BGE. I doubt that's what's in the juice though, as BGE is harmful if inhaled.

If you are concerned, you might want to contact the supplier and ask what BG is, and whether that's a typo or not.

I'm sorry I just looked at the bottle again. It says 1.2% bv. Any clue? I got it from Totally Twisted Texas

Oh, that would probably be 'by volume'.

1.2 percent, by volume.

So the whole thing reads 1.2%bv/12mg 3ml. That means volume?

Yep, 1.2% bv means the same thing as 12 mg/ml. It's just a different way of stating the nicotine concentration.

12 mg/ml = 12mg/1000ul. 12mg/1000ul * 100 = 1.2%

(I think I did that math right, lol)
