Thanks Kent, but i get a "not allowed" on the first link. I take it that it is supposed to taste like tobacco. If I REALLY apply my imagination, maybe... but then again, I have such a good imagination, that I can make it taste like truffles and spray-starch.
Sorry.. that was bad link.... I removed it. RY4 and Ruyan #4 flavors have long been a subject of 'what does it taste like' and at first there were only two main flavors out - one from the Janty/joye line and the dekang version. Then vendors started making their own flavoring.
It has been considered a 'tobacco' flavor but not many versions have a tobacco taste, imo. Smoky/Butterscotch/carmel/cream is real close to what I get and the various versions show some smoky dominance while others focus on the sweeter notes. The original Janty RY4 was more smokey and piney, than sweet although there was that note to it. Was my #1 vape for a year and one thing about RY4 is that it seems to hold up under a variety of wattages and it can taste different hotter than the cooler vape but it still retains some flavor either way - many flavors either burn out at higher wattages and some are tasteless at lower wattages - not RY4..... I always thought there was some ginger in there. Some taste raspberries - not me

and the Ruyan #4 vapor does smell like cotton candy but I don't think it tasted like that vaping it.
Some don't like it at all at first and some learn to like it. My friend said 'musty basement' when he first tried it and now it's his #1 vape

And I can see that - there is that smokey thing that can taste 'musty' to some. Flavors are subjective and in some cases there's genetic factor on bitter....
