What is Steeping?

sorry for my ignorance, but what is "steeping"?

From my understanding it is leaving your freshly purchased juice alone for awhile in order for the ingredients to properly blend to bring out the best flavor and fragrance from them. Some people due 24hrs, some poeple let them go for a week. Up to you.

Does that mean opening the container and letting the air get to it, or just not opening it?

In a nutshell - it's letting your juice sit for a while.
Lots of juice vendors make it fresh for you when ordered, and many of us are convinced that some time, and further mixing is needed for it to taste good. Some juice that uses alcohol based flavorings, in my opinion, needs a little time with the top off the bottle too!
But standard steeping is shaking it, and letting it sit for a week or more before you need to vape it!

I'd say "top off not needed" - UNLESS you get a "chemical" or "perfume" kind of smell from it. THEN I let it sit for a day with the top off too...
