Must have missed it - Here is his original request

Where is he talking about tank size? - I thought he was looking for "leak free" tank (assuming it is not a carto issue) which indicated to me that either the design or quality would come into play and price was not mentioned..if tank size is an issue maybe he should amend the original question and he wouldn't get answers like Phiniac .. which is absolutely a solid and correct recommendation regarding the original question as is a Vivi Nova which I have found very leak free..

Dont ya just love inappropriate and overreaching responses some time :glare:.. Just having a little go at you Bad but I thought this was out of character for you..

I quoted his size request from post #12 ("I like that one because of its small size, I am not a huge fan of the huge tanks.") in my post #16.

I appologize to jumping all critical. As I said in my post later, I had been up all night on here responding to post questions and fielding PM questions, so I was getting tired and cranky. Don't take my rant as a personal attack on you, that wan't intended.

I know that it's polycarbonate, but the new Boge F17 is the same width as an ego, I assume the OP was looking for that size. Like a few tanks out there, you have to get a short sleeve thing that goes on the outer ego threads to make everything look nice and smooth, assuming the OP wanted a tank for an ego type battery. It officially uses the same cartos as the F16: BogeXL, two laser "punched" holes, 1.6 ohm single coil, flange, etc. I have been told that using a long, skinny drip tip like a "DCT refilling drip tip" not only makes refilling a tank easier, but keeps the carto from cutting into the o-rings when pushing a tank back into place after refills. I won't have these items for a week or so, and it will take a while before I can say if it leaks or not. This tank is pretty new; it might be a while before anybody can complain about it leaking.

Of course, o-rings are used in all applications to both seal things and be replaced relatively cheap and easy. At least you don't have to learn your lesson the way NASA did. This aint rocket surgery.

I think you've gotten your plastics mixed up. The Boge F17 is polycarbonate, not polypropylene.

It matters only for those people who might use the volatile flavors that can crack or melt polycarbonate.

Got me 6 minutes before my edit, you sly fox. Thus the reason for my edit, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. BTW, I was reading an email from my supplier and editing my mistake at the same time you made your timely post. I blame the internets, and my very recent fiascoes with polypropylene water supply pipes. No glue will hold them, they fly off the barbed fittings even with extra hose clamps, total nightmare. I know the pressure is a kinda high... oh wait, I'm not still at work! Hello nice vaping people!

Got my F17 in today, vaping on it now, no leaks so far in any position (I don't vape upside down). I don't vape volatile e-liquid, so I don't expect to crack the polycarbonate tank. Using a 'DCT refilling drip tip', mostly just for refilling/pushing the tank up. I will come back to this thread in a few days to address question from the OP.

Boge F17, over 5 days in on the original pre-punched carto, 50/50 mix of light colored flavor, almost exclusively. Over 15ml through it so far, no leaks leaving it horizontal, normal usage. Pro's - very cheap, no leaks, same 14mm as an eGo. Cons - not pyrex, doesn't lock in place, no refill hole. This product needs a proper review after it's been available for a while.

I love my Boge F17 tanks! I like the slimmer size. Looks great on my ego twist batteries. I haven't had any leaking issues, except the time I accidentally flooded a carto. Grrrr. I haven't had any cracking issues but I have stayed away from liquids that can crack them. I did however learn about the polypropylene tanks on here, so I will look for those if I decide to use some mean to plastic juices. Thanks!

I did try out the mini Novas when I started vaping, a couple of months ago :), I loved the look of them, however, I felt like I was going through the juice really fast with them. Good luck!
