Tauren do a lovely copper tube...

View attachment 833645

Lovely throw on the switch and a hard hitter. Costs about 40 euros :)

No time like the present....... I went and found the mech VGOD Elite. A mesh RTA looks pretty tall on it, especially those that have the 5ml glass installed on them (vs those with the 3.5ml). I can't really try one out without rebuilding one though. They all have 0.12Ω builds in them as they are all on regulated mods.... a build that is WAY too much amp draw for the Sony VTC5's (or ANY other 18650 batt for that matter). I would have to do a 0.18Ω rebuild in one to try one out on the VE. I can however run one of the mesh rda's off one of my squonk mech's on it... they already have that higher build in them. Not ideal though, I don't like to bother with dripping atty's anymore. So will have to think on it some, decide if I want to do the rebuild just to see if I can stand to vape a tube mech mod again. Been up all days and night, it's near 5AM.... coffee time. ;)

I think you meant to type 200 Watts max. The batteries should be rechargeable, and shouldn't be thrown in the trash regardless of if they are no longer good. You should get 300-500 cycles out of them before you'll need to replace them entirely.

(warning stupid question) I know they should be rechargeable but there is no USB charging port on the AEGIS Legend that I can see, do I need a different device to charge those external batteries?

UPDATE: I realized my stupidity and finally found how to charge the thing... (to be fair I had tried opening this plastic flap before but it seemed like it didn't open). Anyways, thanks for all the advice guys.
Really, you shouldn't be charging your batteries with the USB port. Doing this repeatedly every day will eventually wear out the silicone plug for the USB port, then your Legend won't be water or dust proof. Besides, the port's primary purpose is for firmware upgrades.

You should buy a separate battery charger. It's safer and faster than using the USB port to charge. You don't have to spend a whole lot of money. You can get a great charger for under $25. Look for the Efest LUC v4 or Xtar VP1 models.

Sorry, I didn't mean the USB port on my computer I meant a plug that goes into the wall that the charging cable plugs into.

It doesn't matter. Don't charge your Legend batteries through its USB port. To charge your batteries, remove them from the Legend and use a Li-ion battery box charger.

Your Legend has an internal charger that should be used only on rare occassions. For example, you go on vacation and don't want to bring your box charger with you. That's ok. But don't use the internal charger on a full time basis.

By the way, the two battery charging indicators seem to charge at different speeds. Is it normal for the cells not to finish charging at the same time?
Unless using a regulated mod that has a DNA chip inside, the built in charger in other mods don't usually charge the batteries equally. Your Legend does not have a DNA chip. That's another reason to charge your batteries for the Legend in a Li-ion box charger.

Even if purchasing cells at the same time, batteries can charge and discharge at different rates. What is critical is they are both topped up to the same voltage and that charging stops on the one cell that reaches that voltage first. The Legend does balance charge, but unsure if it applies a trickle charge once cells reach 4.2 volts.

Never leave your device unattended when charging and periodically check for heat. I understand the later maybe difficult given the Legend’s construction, but you can stop charging at any time and check the batteries. Once the cells have reached full charge, unplug your device….do not leave it plugged in for extended periods of time.

What is the best Li-ion box charger? And what are the best batteries that I should get for my secondary pair of batteries for my Legend in your opinion?

Gryfalcon all-44, or the opus 3100 BT v2.2 for chargers.

Batteries will depend on wattage. Sony VTC5A or Molicel p42a would be great choices up to about 150 Watts.

Do you read the information that myself, and others, provide you? Are you having difficulty understanding this information? If you are, just state what you don't understand and we will attempt to help you understand it.

I included a link to my blog on how to choose a battery charger in a previous post above. It can help you decide which features will be important to you when choosing a charger for you.

"Best charger" is a matter of personal opinion. You don't necessarily need a $70+ charger with all the bells and whistles if you just need an affordable, reliable charger. The more expensive chargers likely have features that you will never use or understand.

Judging from the great difficulty you have had in choosing which batteries you need for your Aegis Legend, I recommend just a basic, reliable, affordable charger by a reputable brand like Xtar, Efest LUC, or Nitecore.

The Efest LUC series of chargers are very affordable and reliable. I chose the Xtar VP4 for my personal charger because when compared to other chargers in its price range, I really liked the display screen over the other models and brands available.

Your Aegis Legend is a dual battery mod, so the wattage available (using two batteries) doubles.

-If you use two good quality 15 amp CDR batteries like the Samsung 30Q or Sony VTC6, then you are good up to 90 watts (45 watts X2 = 90 watts total)

-If you use good quality 20 amp CDR batteries like the LG HG2 or Samsung 25R, you're good for 120 watts.

-If you use two 25 amp CDR batteries like the Sony VTC5A, then you are good for up to 150 watts.

-If you use two 30 amp CDR batteries like the Samsung 20S you are good up to 180 watts.

I hope you're posting information for others because the OP doesn't understand and will ask the same question REPEATEDLY.

I know what you mean. I've been told that I am a patient person, and I usually am willing to give everyone the benefit of doubt. I don't know of a simpler way to teach other than what I have posted.

I was almost tempted to say, "Trust me, and just get this charger and these batteries" and be done with it all. But ultimately, as a teacher, I want people to understand the "why" so that they can choose for themselves.

My general recommendations:
Xtar VP4 Li-ion Charger
18650 Sony US18650VTC5A 2600mAh High Discharge Flat Top

Education CAN fix stupid. There is no guarantee.

Rammstein didn't start another new thread, so hope springs eternal.
Your statement is ignorant. There is no cure for stupid. Try looking up the definitions.
Ignorance is lack of education.
Stupid is silly or unwise; showing poor judgment or little intelligence.

You got them installed and working? That's great. A second set is recommended, as always having a back up is a good thing. Things never work when you need them. Am I right?

In order to best answer your question, knowing what wattage you vape at will be helpful.
I do believe the question of what batteries are best a variety of wattage ranges was already posted in answer to you in one of the few threads you've started on the topic already. You may want to reread those, as they may be insightful.

Have a great day!

I have three married pairs that I rotate.
One in use, one in a travel case, and one in the charger (a four bay nitecore)
I've been using them for almost a year now, so I'll be looking to replace them soon, but I've yet to notice any drop-off in performance.

So, poor judgement or lack of wisdom can't be corrected with education? Well then, I must be as dumb as I was when I had my baby teeth then...
