Hi still vaping and been of fags 4 ages now! Can someone tell me what the difference is between the old switches on the Screwdriver and the new-style switches? I just bought a new Screwdriver body advertised with the new-style switch. I regularly break the old switches ( the little white plastic thingy, which holds the switch button, just snaps all the time ). Is the switch better in this respect? Tried finding a thread on this but couldn't. Thanks for any replies!

Bugsy, I have the same problem as you, LOL. I drop my SD all the time (probably because it's in my hand 24 hours a day :D).

Haven't bought a new switch end yet because I stocked up on switches for the inevitable, but probably will in the future. Here's a picture of it for you though:

New Switch Assembly for MkI - ECigScrewdriver

Definitely looks much more solid to withstand being dropped, and is reportedly so.

I've had the MarkII for 2 mo. and the new switch is much better.

Takes very little pressure to activate and feels great in my hand (much better than the original)

I havent dropped it yet but it did unscrew with lanyard in place and I lost the spring. Perhaps having a spare is still necessary...

Got a warranty replacement in 1 week - now I am careful to check the button when I replace the battery.

Now it's perfect...
