.....................................................
hoping you are all vaping well, and having no issues :D
okay,
some point i am not able to find it like the other.
i was able to know about PG and VG, and they are pharma grade, so if i am calling any local supplier i am saying the same. i came to know about the difference with the food grade as it inhaled not to eat....................... very good.
/............. i read here Guide to DIY Flavoring
and re read trying to know the definition of the proper flavor. i am afraid i could not.:(:(
.........................
my question is,
if i want to order locally a flavor what description should i say?
should i say any water based flavor? is there any purity factor here?

can i search for natural flavor? is it usable in vaping?

or should i go to any big supermarket and get a flavor without oil?

is it food grad, or flavor has other grades?

pls keep in mind i can not buy it online. no proper e cig supply is available.

any help is appreciated

for instant this supplier has the following:

You really want concentrates, not extracts. No gums, sugars, oils or any other off ingredients. PG, VG and alcohol can be the carriers and will usually say, for example, Ingredients: PG and artificial flavorings.

I'm sorry, I can't tell by that picture if they'll work for you or not. Where are you located? There are sub-forums here for just about every country.

foremost, thanks for your concern.
reading the guide, was easy to extract how to buy PG & VG. but was not really able to know about flavor.
so, let rephrase what you have said, i can order a flavor of apple, of coffee of a vg base at a concentration of 50%, is this correct?
.............
normally they ask, for what purpose, i answer high quality food products. i am able to the correct vg and pg for vaping but not yet sure about flavor.

I don't think there's a single definition that covers all the different flavors. As glasseye stated, it's more about what to avoid plus what is used needs to be highly concentrated.

I'd say your best bet is to find a vendor that ships to where you live. For example, the Inawera flavors have been getting good reviews. Inawera Flavors

You can probably find a source for Flavourart, Hangsen and others as well.

I wish I could help more but I am not familiar with those kinds of flavorings. I use very concentrated flavors but I have no idea what percentage they are. There are other concerns with certain chemicals in flavors, like diacetyl. Fine to ingest, not so fine to inhale.

You might be better off making some of your own flavorings, such as coffee and tobaccos. I know people do it and are pleased with the results, there is a sub-forum for info on that. Good luck pcman2K.

it is never easy to import liquids including flavors. the easiest to buy from an trusted expert supplier. but not always available in eliquids. in addition they are available locally. i am trying to get use of them if suitable? mostly they are food grad for food factories. like my first post. but even food grads are different.
so, the question is are those food grad suitable for eliquids?
or if i took your statement, what to avoid?

Here is the subforum on extractions. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/liquid-extraction-tobacco/
There are also some youtube videos on the process. Lots of reading and research involved but where there is a will, there is a way, yes?

thanks again and again. :toast:
it is about extract eliqd from tobacco. very useful forum. i have around 0.75 kg of pipe tobacco. i will need this forum to get some use of it better than just through it away. almost 4 months now no tobacco touch. i even did not clean the last pipe smoke. :p

.................. i am afraid it is not yet answering my question. in fact it is giving other required direction but not for now.

also i am trying to talk more with that local supplier, to see what flavor he has. i want to know what flavor specifications i should accept.

yet i am looking around.

I'm not sure if it will help or not but I'll give you an example of a company here called LorAnn Oils. As it turns out, some of their flavors contain oils but a lot of them do not. It's just the name. As a general rule, I think artificial might be a good word to look for because that usually means no oils. Concentrated is another key word because the more concentrated the flavor, the easier it'll be to work with.

Maybe you can get some ideas from this thread that you can apply to your local flavorings. The thread has some good links as well. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/15831-wrong-lorann-flavors-2.html

One more thing about concentrates. If you find a flavor you like, but needs a very high percent of flavor, try adjusting your base for it. A calculator like eJuice Me Up can help with that.

Edit to add: I'm 'guessing' that a lot of the flavoring in the list you posted would be ok. Check the vanilla to make sure there's no sucrose or corn syrup added. Check some of the others for oils if you can.

I think I know what you're asking. You'll need flavors that are PG, VG or alcohol base. Personally, I do not like flavors with alcohol as their base but many do. You want to avoid any flavorings with sugar, corn syrup, gum etc. because they will mess an atomizer/cartomizer up quickly. You can use liquid sucralose to sweeten your flavors. Some grocery store flavors work fine for vaping, but they usually are very weak compared to the concentrated ones we order online. I hope this helps you.

I'm glad that helped. Another term you could ask about would be 'water soluble' but that isn't always known unless it's listed from the manufacturer.
