What is the IRC Server for live chat?

I registered for live chat and have activated my nickname which is khalidmna. Can I use my own IRC client? If so, what is the IRC server? Thank you

sorry, forgot to also mention that when I ask a question in the chat room it says "pending" cannot send, but I have registered and activated my nick. Thanks.

You might want to look through the threads in the Site Feedback section (it's located roughly in the middle of the main page) or start a thread there. That's the last place I saw live chat being talked about.

Hate to ask a stupid question, but here goes, what the heck is IRC? I couldn't register because I have no idea what that is.
