The point of this thread is to see what people have vaped at the lowest resistance. I am not condoning anyone to do this and I'm just curious to know how low people have vaped at. And for the sake of this thread I'm going to assume everyone who posts knows the limitation of their devices and batteries and use only vtc_ batteries or efest 35a batteries.

I'll put myself out there. I decided to try out what super sub-ohming was all about. My gear: Sony VTC5 battery, Emit Vapor Shotgun mech mod, and a Paradigm Magma RDA. I built a 0.18 ohm dual coil, using 24 gauge kanthal.

My results: the battery definitely handled it well. I was able to vape on this build for 15 minute straight (not chain vape, but regularly vape it while watching tv). The atty was pretty warm to the touch. I unscrewed the battery and it was ok, room temperature.

After 15 minutes, I did take apart the build and rebuild. Not because it wasn't working, but because the vape was too warm for my tastes. I rebuilt it to a 0.31 ohm build and it gave me a cooler vape with just as flavor and vapor as the 0.18. So for me, 0.3 is as low as I'll go.

Just stopped by one of the local vape stores yesterday evening and a guy was building a new set of coils for his Hades\Patriot setup. He ended up using a twisted 24, dual coil setup. Ohm'd out at .17. He asked if I wanted to try it out since I was looking at the new mech's they just got in.

All I can say is...SWEEEEET! I was expecting a hot vapor and the feeling of a big hit, but no. Warm vapor, no TH, excellent cloud. I pulled a 3 second draw and never felt a thing. I almost threw my wallet on the counter and said "Do me right now!", but, I didn't. I will eventually. That experience definitely got me excited about buying a new mech.

I'm vaping at .11 regularly. At first it was a scary transition to start trying to prep for cloud contests, had to step my nic down to 3 and use 100%vg. MY cloud build is at .09 and I refuse to go lower. But it hits like a dream, every person who comes into the shop I work at loves it and ask me to build them one but I turn them down. I won't build anything less then .5 for customers just because of the risk that they might use a non VTC battery. But anywho, the build is on a mega tank on my 134 mechanical. Occasionally my drip tip gets hot but thats at about 3 minutes of not letting that thing out of my mouth.

For extreme sub ohmers I recommend to test your rig thoroughly before you decide to put your face ANYWHERE near it. I've been building crazy builds now for about a year and have yet to have an accident because of safety precautions taken before going below .15 on any of my RDA's. Happy vaping! :)

I recently vaped a .14Ω coil and it was brilliant.

The guy who wrapped it asked me what I though the resistance was. I answered 1.4Ω because I know he's fond of higher Ω coils with regulated MODs. But this was a 26650 mech of some kind or another and a 50A battery.

When he told me I didn't believe him because the vape was as cool as any 1.5Ω Kayfun I vaped. He threw it on the Ω meter and sure enough: .14Ω.

It was brilliant.
