I'm rough with the hardware and still haven't found a mod that can be dropped and take it more than a few times. I'm almost completely satisfied with a Kanger Protank but have yet to find a MOD that can take abuse like an indestructible watch. I'm looking for suggestions for an APV that I can throw on the ground and the tank would bust off at the mount with no damage to the MOD. Preferably with 510 threads, be able to accept 18650 and 18350 batteries. Water resistant would be a big plus.

Any ideas?

ProVari mini with extensions can do all sizes of batteries, Reo but only uses 650's or stacked 350's. These are tough Mods but you will pay the price. Warranty is great with both of these.
Edit Niether are water proof although a ProVari has been dropped in a river, found the next day, dried out and still works. Check the reosmods forum in the vendors section for good stories on that mod.

Water resistant? I have no clue. As far as mech mods go, a silver bullet is built solid, you can do some serious head trauma with it, just don't drop it in the water LOL!

That's a good looking MOD but I expect that mount will start coming loose after a few drops. I'm looking for an indestructible, something more durable than a smart phone.

Thank you for the Reosmods suggestion, it's not really what I'm looking for. I do like that it's made from one block of aluminum but the shape, internal tank and sliding door turn me off. The Provari looks nice but it doesn't look like something that would last for a first responder or construction worker. The mount to the tank has been my biggest issue. If it's in my pocket and I bump in to something or it's dropped, the mount loosens up leading to failure.

I'm really hoping to find something like an indestructible version of The Bolt. A 510 mount that the tank will break off and not damage the mount of the battery mod.

I've dropped my Provari mini several times say pocket height to concrete and no issues at all. A friend of mine is an iron-worker building roller coasters and his Provari has survived a couple pretty incredulous drops. His is a brushed unit so it doesn't even show, mine's the black one but only has a couple of hairline scratches.

In addition to the ProVari rugged construction, it is backed by the legendary service if ProVape.

So even if you break it, they will repair it and generally get it back to you in a week, including ship time.

Without question, a Provari.

Based on accounts by ECF members, they have fallen off a ledge and fallen one story onto concrete, fallen from a speeding motorcycle and hitting the pavement, survived accidentally being run over by a dump truck, survived a dunking in the swimming pool, and even a full wash cycle in a washing machine. The lone battle lost was with a lawn mower.

hold a provari for a few minutes you will change your mind.
in addition to bad's comment they have also seen cups of coffee, the toilet, the sink, mine hit the floor more then i can count, one bounced off a car roof, another a flat bed semi, theres a post in the provari forum about a week ago where they lost it in a river, didnt recover it until the next day and once dried worked fine.

there are an uncountable number of posts about the provari busting tiles ( i now have 2 with big chips out of them) and denting hardwood floors, as well as many posts about how to pull the busted 510 connecter that snapped off when the provari hit the floor out of the provari head.

so far for everyday durability there isnt anything close to a provari, and if somehow you can break it during normal usage, provape will repair it for less then a new mod. provape offers some of the best customer service of any industry.

other then that a pure mechanical is the only thing tougher.

Not sure if this is a serious thread, based on this.
Yep. I'm pretty sure every PV is more durable than just about every smart phone.

I learned something in this thread though... apparently the electronics in a Provari are impervious to water damage.

I'd think that the most indestructible PV would be a solid stainless steel mech with no overflow cup (so the 510 connector is fully supported by a solid chunk of metal).

Many boards have a waterproof or water-resistant coating. I'd wager a lot of mods can survive brief submersion. It also depends whether the water even reaches the electronics. It's all solid-state inside our mods. The most vulnerable points are usually things like screen connectors, but in many mods those connectors are sealed.

I would think they need too be moisture proof as juice from tanks do seep down into the 510 connections.
