I've read posts about something you can use on your RTA threads to protect them. I don't remember what it is called, but something like Novo Lox or something like that? Can anyone help me here, please?

I thought you were talking about the threads in this section for a sec ;)

Are you meaning the 510 threads, or the deck threads?

    Noalox is used with Aluminum.

I use Deoxit (Brush) for things like RCA Jacks or maybe an Atomizer.

Thank you! Do you think it's a good idea to always use it on attys? I don't have an issue right now, but I am trying to figure out how best to maintain the stash because of the deeming.

I wouldn't use anything. If you mean the 510 threads, it might not be good for the insulator of the center pin (don't know... could soften it?) If you don't want the mod threads to get wear just use a small "heatsink" adapter (I'm getting several of those for that and to solve another connection issue... they are really cheap too on FT.

To me, it all Depends on what the Threads look like.

On my Day-2-Day stuff, I Don't use anything.

But if I pull out a Mod or Atty that I haven't used in awhile, and the 510 Threads look a little Funky, then Yeah... I might put a Brush Swipe in the Threads and work the Atomizer In/Out a few times. Then given the threads a Good Wipe with a Q-Tip. Same with a Mod's Battery Cap/Cover.

Just a Note on Deoxit. You need the Most Minuscule amount on Threads. That's why the Tiny Bottle with the Brush is a Good way to go.

I haven't had Any problems with Deoxit.

But then again, I don't really get any on Seals and or Insulators.

I could’ve sworn that Noalox was recommended to me by someone on ecf for lubricating tank threads. I’m glad I’m not using it anymore (only because I now use Lubri Film because I like that it comes in a tube).

Just about Everything 510 (Mod/Atty) these days is Stainless Steel. So Noalox isn't really going to work much better than 3-in-1 Oil. Or any (decent) Oil for that matter.
