Mine doesn't have coils or a wick.I can't remember where i got them (CRS) What is inside is something that looks like steel wool and that is all i can see. It is silver and gold outside. The gold is on the bottom. I have a black one that is the same except it is black and gold, it says LR-510 on the side. Plus i vaguely remember something about a bridge if that helps. I did try to use it on the REO Mini but it spits a lot :(
Is there any way to use them?

Sorry no pics because i have no camera on this laptop and my other laptop needs a OS i only have Linux on the other laptop and it doesn't recognize my camera.

Well, it has to have a coil, probably under all the steel wool. The only atty I can remember that has steel wool looking stuff in it is the HH-357, but it says HH-357 on the side, or at least all of mine do. I don't know. Did you ever buy any HH-357s? Maybe other attys I'm not familiar with have the steel wool. Hmmmmm I guess bottom line is, I'm no help at all. Ha. You could use it, but the spitting, hmmm. You could use a taller drip tip, maybe. Try not to get too much juice in it. Maybe it'll quit spitting when it gets a little more broken in.

Just regular attys have a bridge (it'll just look like a hump or a round thing sticking up) and the bridge is covered with a steel mesh. It might look like steel wool if you're not used to using them and haven't ever taken one apart. Maybe that's what you're seeing? The wick and the coil are under the bridge. Maybe it's just a regular old LR 510 atty from anywhere. The reason it's spitting is that it's LR, probably around 1.5 ohms, and that may be a little too hot for you. Get a different drip tip and see if it calms down after it's a little more broken in.
