We had a major house fire a year ago, made all the local news. Upshot was: house stripped to the studs and rebuilt. Lived in a hotel, then friend's, then rented house and had a new job while we put it back together. In the rear view mirror, it was a hassle and a lot of work, but we now basically have a new home with mucho upgrades. Our motto was; "When God hands you lemons, you make lemoncello".
