I know everyone has their own reasons for doing stuff...We all share the same means to a different end. Some want to get completely off nicotine...some just want a substitute...some want to just smoke LESS...some end up vaping MORE...We all have vaping in common and i think it would be interesting to see where everyone sees vaping taking them!!!

Il go first :) At first i bought it not knowing if it was going to work...just like the gum, lozenges, patch, and meds...so i wasnt sure what to expect...but after a week i was completely off regular cigs and I was so happy with my vapor...Within the next year or so i see myself getting down to a low dose liquid, something like 6-8mg/ml and just staying there comfortably...I dont know if i ever really want to get down to 0 nicotine liquid but then again im only 24 so maybe down the road i might change my mind!!

Where do you see your self in 1 year? 5 years? 10 years?

GOAL NUMBER ONE: get off cigarettes. Mission accomplished!
I don't exactly know when or if I will give up my PV. Maybe never. It works for me. I use 6mg sometimes, mostly 12mg juice, but started out with 24mg nic for a long time. I really noticed right away there is no withdrawal when decreasing nic, but can sure tell a difference in my memory recall when I'm at 6mg for a couple days. Not because of withdrawal! It has more to do with brain function, MHO.

I'm a big ditto here!!! Got me off the analogs when all else simply failed. If down the road, somewhere, sometime, I don't feel like vaping, well, then I won't. Otherwise I'm happy with the whole thang!

Goal 1: Give up analogs - Done

Goal 2: Give up nicotine - Done

Goal 3: Cut down vaping to emergency (read extreme stress) only - In Progress

Goal 4: Give up vaping completely - Hopefully within the month

As of yesterday, I will only be vaping when I'm really craving a cigarette. So far, I've only vaped after a call from my 23 year old daughter needing something, lol!

So, I'm hoping that within the month, my vaping will only be a once in awhile thing, reserved for times of extreme stress or maybe out with other smokers or while drinking.

My fingers are crossed that I have finally found a way out. If I wind up vaping a few times a week, I've still won. I cut out cigarettes and the addiction to nicotine. I never thought I'd even get that far.

If I can stay with vaping and not touch or crave or slide back to analogs..for a whole year, that will be one goal.

the longest that I ever quit smoking was for almost a whole year.

so this time next year I hope to be still vaping ...and to have never back sided.

after that I will look to decreasing the mg of the nic.
unless I do that along the road to next year's goal.

I figure that theses are enough goals for now

I suprised to see the number of people that are down to no nicotine at all!!!! CONGRADULATIONS!!!!! If i make it to 0 nicotine within the next 5 years il be happy...but i hope to get to very low nicotine very soon...im at around 12-18-sometimes 24mg right now...but i feel like it is mostly due to the juices i have...if they were all 12 i think i would be fine!!! So i guess my next step it to get more of a variety in lower nicotine :) I was going to try and make this a "poll" thread but it is nice to hear peoples stories and ideas...when it is a voting type thread people are restricted to basic choices which most of the time dont explain their situation and thoughts very well! Its soo nice to see how much vapor has helped people!!! and to think in some places they are trying to take this away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I smoke 35 years. I started vaping two and a half months ago. After the third day vaping, I was totally off analogs and vaping 8mg. I haven't touch or had any interest in going back to analogs at all. This is the first time in 35 years smoking I have gone more than 36 hours without a real analog - I am amazed and very happy.

Goal 1 - Stop smoking analogs completely - done.
Goal 2 - Reduce nicotine to zero. Working on that but I will spend time doing it.
Goal 3 - Maybe stop vaping even after zero mg nicotine (I haven't decided on that yet as I enjoy it too much).

I am very happy with this vaping stuff - never go back to analogs. Wishing everyone good luck on their goals.

Just like everyone else, goal 1 was to stop smoking analogs, this is done.

My next goal was to cut down nicotine to 0mg but there's no throat hit, so I'll stay at 11mg for the taste.

So now my next goal right now is DIY eliquid at 11mg to make it cheaper and getting bigger battery.

But primary goal for now is stalking the mailman, almost out of eliquids! :D

My first goal, like many others, is to get off cigarettes. I've been struggling with it for months now, and I think this will finally do it.
I plan when I re-up my supply (got a 50ml bottle of Menthol for my roommate and I) to get a zero-nicotine juice, preferably strawberry flavored :)
My plan after that was to stop completely, but I actually enjoy smoking, just not all the bad stuff that goes with it... So I think if I can find a good liquid I like, with 0 nicotine, I'll be happy.
We'll see how it goes from there!

Very Good Question ! I dont think "Nicotine" was the reason I wanted off analogs..it was the other 4000 carcinagins that bothered me !!

Im a newb on 24mg nic for a month now without analogs. I feel great !
I have 30ml of zero nic pg for use in a project (not my idea but a very good one from member "Spider362")

I keep two DSE901's handy; one with 24mg and one with 0mg.

When I need a nicotine fix I take a couple of drags from the 24mg, but if I just want something to keep my hands occupied and to take my mind off trying to decide if I really want the 24mg I reach for the 0mg and use it as a pacifier. This will usually keep my mind off the other one for another hour or so.

The 0mg one is real cheap, too. One bottle of glycerin from the drug store, one bottle of Cinnamon extract (McCormick) from the grocery store, and some distilled water I use for topping off the car battery when needed.

I don't even need to inhale the vapor with this one. Just blowing clouds of the white stuff keeps me satisfied for quite a while.

I really liked this idea so I bought the zero nic but, havent used it yet cause...well, im just lazy and feel im doing good for now, but the plan will include a reduction somewhere down the road.

PS. Not sure about the McCormick's idea till I look into that further...
