My tip is about cooking bacon. Put a square of paper towel on top of the bacon, and it soaks up most of the grease and prevents spatters. Just lift up a side to check up on the progress. Don't have to pour fat in garbage, and it keeps the frying pan from getting sticky. I'm talking about the none stick frrying pans of course. They do get sticky if you keep turning the bacon.

I use a cake cooling rack to drain my bacon and fried meats (like fried chicken) instead of putting them on a paper towel. It sure drains better!
I don't put them on a paper towel to drain the bacon. I put the paper towel on the bacon while it is cooking. It stops splatters and drains the fat off while the bacon cooks.

For super white teeth brush with your regular toothpaste and half a mouthful of hydrogen peroxide its messy but you wont need to buy whitening strips or pay a ton at the dentist.

Also I use sensitive skin baby wipes to clean my face a few times threwout the day instead of running to a sink and washing my face so much. They are alot cheaper then buying the facial wipes in the health an beauty section.

Order a Roomba ! Is that a tip? My hubby thought so ;-) So I can stalk the ups guy for something else tomorrow.

Ha! We had one, but the dog was terrified of it! We threw her outside the last time and she finally gathered up all her Doberman nerve, ran into the house and KILLED the Roomba to protect her family!!

Not
Bright

I asked Brian WHY he didn't stop her, but he claims he was laughing too hard..it would seem Piper DID so on her rear legs, (probably concerned that the Roomba would fight back...), she then CLOBBERED it to death...

As for Brian?

This is the same exact thing I am worried about with my new toy aka Dave Jr. He (roomba) is like my new son . Hubby is such a nut job about the dog hair. Almost like ocd.
Anyway my Blue Heeler is a FREAK with vacuums. He wants to kill them. He will actually try to take the regular one away from me to carry it off to kill it. Anyway the first day last week that I had Dave Jr., Blue (the heeler) was afraid of it, then it went toward him. He tried to kill it but I was watching because I knew he would. 2 times he has tried already. But he seems to not mind it as much as the other vacuum, as long as it doesn't wiggle his way.
I did buy the extended warranty that covers drops and accidents. maybe if he does kill it I can get it covered as an "accident". I really like it and so does Dave, although he isn't happy I named the Robot Dave Jr. LOL

Does it handle long, copious amounts of dog hair? Dakota sheds year round and then there are the 2 blow outs (1 worse than the other).

I've found front-load washers aren't really good at getting rid of hair and the dryer wants to know "WTF!" I'm doing as it ends up being the dryer's job.

Well none of my 3 dogs have really long hair. I have a chihuahua, Pepe', a Blue Heeler aka Australian cattle dog (my baby) and Gypsy a pit /boxer something or other mix.
The most hair comes from Blue, who I can wash dry brush and do it again and get more off. His hair is about 2-3 inches long at most, I guess. I think longer dog hair may plug up the brushes faster but not sure.

I have mostly tile with area rugs. I have only had the thing a week now and I have run it every day. I use to vacuum 2 times a week and Dave would dust mop at least once a week. We would still have tumble weed. It seems to be keeping up with my hair problems. No tumble weed for a week. :)

I have the 536 model they have on home shopping network. I did see a "pet hair" model, I didn't get it because it was more expensive. I think you can also order a larger dirt cup. The dirt cup is kind of small for my hair around here, I have to empty it 2 times per use.

I have another tip! Just invented it. So my dumb little dog has a territorial marking issues and the urine smell can be mega hard to get out. I have tried everything and still it comes back. He has to wear doggie diapers now the little jerk. Anyway yesterday I got a bright idea. I filled a syringe from my DYI kit with febreeze and injected it into the spot, down to the carpet pad! Worked like magic. I keep going back and sniffing the carpet but it's gone! I used the pet odor febreeze.........

Vaping saves the day again! Don't worry, I labeled the syringe and put it with the doggie cleaning kit so I don't mix it up.

Hope that helps someone.

I have one of those nasty chihuahua marking jerks. I use Nature's miracle for him. The stuff works great if you do what you are suppose to. No one ever wants to really soak their carpet down though.

But I will try that tip of yours on my couch. That is feet smell. Hubby brought this couch from a yard sale, nice couch in good condition. It had a really strong odor of carpet powder or febreeze or something. I thought ok they wanted it to smell pretty for whoever brought it home. So I cleaned it with the green machine and it smelled pretty for a while. Now it smells like wreched Cheetos FEET. I have few smell issues , but I can't take nasty feet. I know this odor comes from no one in my house it is the darn couch. I spray it and spray it and it still stinks. I was about to try the natures miracle on it but we recently gave away our other couch because a friend needed one. So I don't have days to wait for enzymes in nature's miracle to eat the stink LOL

I mentioned Gold bond powder on another thread..here's a tip I used to save room. I got my large containers of gold bond at a the dollar general store..I think for 1.50 each and boght 3. As you know powder settles so I popped the top off all 3 and poured two of them into one container. Nice and full and I saved room! Another upside is that I paid the same for 3 as I would have for one at the drugstore.

This should work for any powder if you run into a twofer sale or dollar store sale.
