I'm wondering what kinds of cigarettes eveybody smoked before they switched to vaping...I guess mainly the people who smoke a high nic count? I see alot of people recommending to people to up thier nic for different reasons and im curious what kinds of cigarrettes 24 or 36mg would be a necessary replacement for. I smoked Camel Turkish jade lights and then Kool milds the last 6 or 7 years because i used to work for them and got them free. Pack a day. When i started vaping i was doing 12mg and that was always sufficient til now. I've never had any cravings or anything after quitting. In fact a lot of times I feel Im getting too much nic and I dont vape alot alot. So I guess this is for people who vape a high nic count what were you coming from?

................Hey man !.

Old Holborn hand rolling tobacco. About seventy grammes a week !. Now i vape either 3.6mg or 4.5mg. So pretty high, but hand rolling tobacco provides a lot of nicotine so. Love menthol 4.5mg but enjoy "natural extract tobacco" flavour e liquid, and yes it's old holborn at 3.6mg !. All 100% Vegetable Glycerine so it's real smooth. Oh yeahhhhhhhhh !..

it is not so much about what kind of cigarettes a person smokes, but what is effective in getting them off of cigarettes. i work at our local shop and we recommend people start out at 24mg. if people are getting their nicotine, even if it is a little more than they are used to, the cravings for a cigarette will not present themselves. the biggest problem people have in switching from digital to analogs is not starting off with a high enough nicotine dosage. if people are not getting enough nicotine to fight off the cravings, then they are more likely to pick up a pack of smokes. it is always easier to reduce the nicotine, or vape less, then to not have enough nicotine and go back to smoking analogs. and for what it is worth, i smoked Marlboro Mild 100s.

I'm not sure that's 100% true. I smoked RYO for years and I had a much easier time dropping my nic level than friends who had smoked name brand cigs. I suspect the extra chemicals put into name brand cigs reacted with the nic more so than my generic (and incredibly cheap) pipe tobacco.

That said, going with a higher nic level initially is good advice especially if you intend to quit smoking analogs completely. I started at 18 (which wasn't quite enough), jumped up to 36 and then dropped to 12 gradually. I'm vaping around 4/6 now which is great for me. I even started doing zero nic in the evenings.

I smoked Newports. When I quit, I first used the 18mg disposables. Way too much nic. I went straight down to 6-12mg. 12 is the absolute most I can tolerate. I prefer less than 6 these days. Smoking was never about the nic for me, I guess. I don't know why I tolerated it in tobacco and can't tolerate it now. It is what it is though lol.
