What kind of wick do you use for rebuilding?

I am only using silica because I bought 33 feet of the stuff. I look forward to trying the cotton because I have read that so many are so happy with it.
I use cotton! I buy organic cotton balls from my local walgreens. Simple, easy, cheap & lasts forever!! I don't boil it, I get a slight floral taste for a few minutes when I first rewick, but nothing I can't deal with. The overall improvement on flavor is so good that I used cotton for over a month before I even noticed the slight floral taste, and honestly I was looking for it, and I hadn't before then.

Some heads like cotton and some like silica. So I use both so I never voted. CHEERS!
I never thought I'd try it, but I've been using cotton for quite a while now. Before that it was silica.
I voted cotton which is what I use the most, but I also really like and use SS mesh and silica depending on the build.
I voted for cotton because that's what I'm using currently, but I'm anxious to try some of that newfangled Ekowool which my regular vendors always seem to be out of.
I use cotton. Recently I bought an origin dripper from someone and he included a pad of Koh Gen Do cotton. Absolutely the best stuff I have ever use. It runs $12 for 60 square pads, expensive but it will make a lot of wicks.
