So this is my first e cig, and my first real time vaping. I got her maybe a week or two ago and was wondering what the make/ model (not really sure what to call it) is? A friend bought it for me so i never got the box it came in.
I was also wondering where to go from here. I've realized vaping has become much more then a pass time and more of lifestyle and i really want to look into getting a better and more unique mod. That and a collection of batteries and e liquid. So far i have dragon fruit by Hollywood, which is good but not as flavorful as i had hoped. I also have cotton candy and honeydew from madvapes. I really love combining them!
I don't want to completely blow my money on stuff though so i don't really know where to go from here, what i should probably invest in next or places that give free samples or sampler packs of liquid. Also any and all advice is greatly appreciated, especially on maintenance and cleaning, or on smoking techniques since I've realized if i smoke too fast i get killer headaches.

That's a little "Ego" battery and a "clearomizer" of some sort. Both are fairly generic names - not brands, as I can't tell if you have anything brand name there or not. There are a LOT of "copies" of that type of equipment - and usually not much wrong with it, unless you get a crappy copy that leaks.

The next step up would be
a) Find juice you love - that may take a while
b) Get a battery with "variable voltage" - so you can turn it up or down a bit, and get the right setting for your personal preference; for your particular juice; and for your particular "atomizer" (which is the part inside the top that heats up).
c) Try other top parts if you want - there are a dozen types, and they are all different - some better at getting you the vapor and flavor you want than others.

Here's a couple really good kits as one big step up from what you have now:
2 batteries and 2 toppers, all high quality brands
A boxy little thing, but really good features. This website is also a popular juice vendor (not my favorite, but pretty cheap and good people)

What do/don't you like about the one you have now? Does it have variable voltage? That would mean you can turn it up or down for more or less power. Is it too big or too small? Do you feel you get good hits from it or could it be better? We can better help you with where to go next if we know these things 1st.

looks like an ego I would say 650 mah but hard to tell from the pic. Here is a link to the part of the board where they discuss the various mods which is really where you would go up from ego batteries. Variable Voltage APV Discussion This guy has some good informational videos on the basics Doctor Vapor - YouTube And this guy is a pretty good reviewer GrimmGreen - YouTube even had a video about going from egos to mods

For the headaches what lvl of nic are you vaping. It looks like a basic ego battery to me but I could be wrong. I had one like it for about a week and got a vision spinner it is variable volts that I love. I now have an evic, itaste VTR, Itase VV Vtube and a smok gripper and mod smok pipe. If you are looking for something reasonably priced and good many will tell you an MVP 2 I have one coming in the mail. Honestly I LOVE the gripper it has a great feel and my battery actually last longer then 4 hours. I am also using the new kanger Aero tank and love it I can adjust the air flow on it. Honestly you are going to get a thousand different answers from everyone you have to find your vape nirvana. I currently get all my juice from a local vender that is excellent I actually try out their new flavors and I usually get them for free. I have found that many places have good prices for juice but getting juice can be tricky and is trial and error.

All three of my liquids are 18mg, i would think the headaches are from too high of a nic level for me but sometimes i get them within seconds of starting, i honestly think i might just be dehydrated when i vape and taking too many hits in a short period of time. And @badfish61063 ya it does kinda have a plasticity taste to it at times, one of the reasons i want to upgrade. I think I'm going to look at the ego twist battery since it was mentioned here and I've also heard it mentioned before usually positively. I think i want a longer battery and maybe just something more unique looking in general but that isn't too bulky.

Since you will be using this stuff all day long, you want to get something that goes with your lifestyle. You can't do that by just looking at the pictures. Texture and shapes are more important than the look. Hence, the "good" mods are ones that feels good in your hand. Once you vape for a while, you don't even look at the mods anymore, but your hand will feel it every time. So, I would suggest to visit local shops and try putting them in your hand. Box mods like MVP has totally different feeling to eGo pen style mods. Also tube style mods like ProVari goes well with full size tanks. Good luck

This is one of the most popular kits for newbies: Kanger Evod Starter Kit

If you want to get a glass tank for liquids that are known to damage the plastic clearomizers/toppers, you might want to pickup this kit instead & it has the VV (Variable Voltage style) batteries that the others have mentioned: Kanger Mini Protank 2 Starter Kit -VV

You might be able to find a cheaper price by piecing your own kit but it's frustrating. I bought my first kit at a local store (B&M). I paid about $130 for my first kit (2 650 mah Twist batteries, 1 iClear 16, 1 EVOD with a couple extra coils, the ego charger and 2 30ml bottles of liquid) but it was still worth it for the experience & training that the wonderful ladies gave me. Sure, I could find it online now for less than $100 but I honestly think my shop earned that extra $30. They let me taste any liquid I wanted before I paid and I got to try out the equipment before I bought it.
