Me again
Am so enchanted by this site and all the amazing people on here, thanks for having me :)

I know I'm still only at the very beginning of the vaping quest. But I have saved enough money in 6 weeks to acquire a new toy, as a form of backup. I have an istick 20w with an Kangertech Aerotank V2. Which I love. But I was given an iStick 50w by a friend, with a subohm Delta II tank, that I simply cannot handle (yet), even after reading my way through how-tos and quite a few reviews on here.

So, what would you buy if you had to start again, but knowing what you know now? I only need 6 mg of nicotine, like fruity tastes and lots of vapor, if that helps.

Knowing what I know know, hard to say. It would definitely be a dual battery mod, have temperature control, and be easy to use without having to jump through a dozen menu selections every time I changed the atomizer.

So probably either the Sigelei 150W TC or the SnowWolf 200W Limited Edition.

I may consider a DNA200 device if I could find one that had at least a 1500 mAh battery at a decent price. The 900 mAh batteries are just too small IMO.

If I had been introduced to the Provari and Reos mods from the beginning it would have saved me a great deal of money on junk that didn't last. The bad thing about it was the vape store I frequent sold both. I had to learn about them and everything else I know about vaping here on ECF.

I'd get a 100+Watt 2x18650 mod (iPV, Sig, Snow Wolf, etc) TC hasn't lived up to the hype in my book, but some folks love it and it's not a bad option to have if you want to play with it. You may never need 100W, but if you run a mod at half it's power instead of wide open, it should last longer.

I'd top it with:
1) a Kayfun for all day tootle puffing
2) any of the dual coil toppers with a 5 ml or bigger tank (Billow 2, Goliath, etc) or a sub ohm tank (Freemax Starre, Arctic, Delta 2, etc) for variety and bigger clouds without having to drip
3) a couple of RDA's (one for flavor and one for fog).

All my toppers would be rebuildable or have an RDA base available.

And I'd start the DIY thing as soon as possible.

I spent hundreds of $'s on crap coils for kangers, juice I didn't really like and eGo type batteries that didn't have enough power to run a decent topper.

For a back-up/portable rig, I'd get a decent tube mech (they are always handy to have around anyway) and make sure a couple of my toppers were built to run on it.

Hello and welcome.

I have many beautiful picture of your country from my grandfather from his whirlwind European vacation of 44/45. He mentioned Luxemburg often as a place of great beauty.

Like many I spent a good bit finding my "thing". Sadly when I started tube mods were very common and I bought to many. I hate them all. Now a store in the city sells P-thingies and another sells tube mechs and all the others are boxes which I love and want to own them all they are so shiney and nice.

But even with boxes I had to find my "thing". And that was a problem as even though I am a low power user, mostly around 30w's, old tech batteries were a pain. Along came dual batteries and that solved the battery life problem but the size wasn't just right. Nothing was perfect but I got along ok with either a single 18650 with spares or a dually.

Enter the Disrupter. Perfect size, for me everyone is different, in fact it lines up perfectly with my Hana 40 (clone) that was as close to perfect as I ever found. The new batteries are great. Last all day on a charge and either charge in unit or swap out if I'm going out in the evening. Everything about it is perfect within the bounderies of.......

Its 50w. If that's enough then its enough. If not then no.

No TC. If that's a problem then its a big one.

When a Disrupter owner is asked whats better internal or external batteries they answer "yes". It goes both ways as it were.

The landscape has changed more than just a little sense I started, so no doubt I would do things a bit differently now.

However, knowing me, I would probably try all of the overpowered junk before I figured out that less is better if I was to start vaping today.

Believe it or not, I've been using a little iStick 50, like the one you were given, this morning, but it's set at a wapping 6.1 watts. (2.6 ohm coil @ 4v)

And that was a problem as even though I am a low power user, mostly around 30w's,

    Now that funny

Loving my Asmodus Snow Wolf 200w topped with 13 Heavens 9 Hells RDA. I wouldn't have started with that set up, but knowing what I know now, I shouldn't have started with a "pen" style battery device and a Viva Nova tank. I upgraded from a combo like that within 2 weeks.

Why???? It got you into vaping didn't it? Sounds to me like it worked quite well.

Hm, reading through this all is reassuring somehow, I think I will make do with my Istick 20w for now, but I will get another MOD this weekend, as a back up. My Istick 50w is just a little daunting, I must admit, but will play around with it (safely). It looks like I should get a couple of tanks actually, and start reading more about RBA/RDA (even more daunting, but thanks to you all, I'm sure I will get there). A big heartfelt THANKS for sharing your thoughts is in order anyhow, again, am new to online forums, so sorry if I am not responding as I should.

You're a star, cheers! Will try not to bug you for now, and try to see if I can order some gear in Germany!

Thank you too, I was lucky to have been born and raised here. It may be tiny, and lacking in the field of vaping, but otherwise it's quite fantastic :) And correct me if I am wrongly assuming what that "vacation" was all about, but if I'm not, it's thanks to guys like your grandfather that we are who we are now, we are very grateful.
